Key Responsibilities & Duties:
+ z/ }9 k5 x5 n5 }: _3 n0 \/ A# X
$ B) ~& R' D, Q8 `- z2 U# f, l. t Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.
 Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.
, ~) E3 Y/ _. w% g Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.
 Completing required paperwork.
) ]' U3 k6 e3 U/ j; d4 d4 G Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.
 Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.
 Maintaining confidentiality of client and program personnel information.
9 _5 s; m1 r2 Z0 h( [; j: o Representing the Teen Centre in a professional manner.
 Maintaining professional boundaries between clients and staff.
, ?" @$ J! b% R7 s# r2 w Provide additional support to the program as needed under the direction of the Program Manager.
 Reporting to the Program Manager on a Regular basis.

1 q$ d+ F+ A" R+ g2 W+ _ Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.
 Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.
 Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.
- p! p' q9 W. {$ a: T2 L5 y Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: latch key, addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.
1 l5 V1 {: F8 w% L* | Knowledge of community resources.
& S0 U1 l1 j2 m1 W1 D5 V Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.
! K: x+ E- V# f% H. R9 u6 h/ r Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training.

Position:
This is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; with a combination of afternoons and one weekend shift per month; at an hourly rate of $12.50;
2 @! }) ?/ M) x* s7 U" C# jstarting January 2006. There is a 3-month probationary period.
