+ O0 i& T% \* {
 Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.
 Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.
 Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.
* _7 p" y3 s6 j Completing required paperwork.
6 C6 e$ c5 U9 ]7 w Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.
 Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.
) P8 J: f' d7 U2 ~, u9 N Maintaining confidentiality of client and program personnel information.
& `8 Z2 q* V( }0 f8 @3 u4 c Representing the Teen Centre in a professional manner.
5 j9 p, p! C! Q9 j Maintaining professional boundaries between clients and staff.
0 L2 H$ u/ l) `. e6 G4 e/ i) y$ K Provide additional support to the program as needed under the direction of the Program Manager.
 Reporting to the Program Manager on a Regular basis.

Qualifications:

+ C9 O/ e1 N1 ]4 N: o) J Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.
 Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.
7 {8 t, {, w" j1 Q3 d( x% U& L Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.
$ G) X# \, s# j) ]1 b: G- p Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: latch key, addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.
4 z; O; n! Y' Y& D5 i8 ] Knowledge of community resources.
2 u8 ?7 n9 W( g Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.
 Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training.

: Z6 m+ G9 M0 }% W$ |This is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; with a combination of afternoons and one weekend shift per month; at an hourly rate of $12.50;
/ @, {, J9 }+ l1 ?starting January 2006. There is a 3-month probationary period.
