- h$ W+ ?* a' D Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.
 Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.
 Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.
 Completing required paperwork.
- E; J$ H6 [1 }  `5 E Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.
 Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.
 Maintaining confidentiality of client and program personnel information.
% d" p8 Q: D% C9 @/ T: M Representing the Teen Centre in a professional manner.
 Maintaining professional boundaries between clients and staff.
/ t' Q# {1 c: A7 T Provide additional support to the program as needed under the direction of the Program Manager.
 Reporting to the Program Manager on a Regular basis.

, k* R" Q1 `* o3 T; T/ C Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.
2 I) g% F. i: U) t Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.
+ l* @6 H7 Z7 h4 o1 Q5 \; U5 n8 ` Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.
) `$ @: r/ a, W: [" m1 X" ^ Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: latch key, addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.
. W: w8 e5 p' p Knowledge of community resources.
% }9 S9 a, h  w  U) f Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.
 Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training.

Position:
( k8 ~. ]  D, Y" o" K1 r! }This is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; with a combination of afternoons and one weekend shift per month; at an hourly rate of $12.50;
starting January 2006. There is a 3-month probationary period.
