 Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.) X' w; q$ t' u/ q. C5 q2 j H
 Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.; ]1 d: u/ T' m& u, o( e
 Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.
' i# }/ h' i* t2 K( b/ P1 a1 B' h Completing required paperwork.7 k" p5 K; |' _
 Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.8 G$ M+ H! N7 ?7 d
 Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.
3 O' m' X& @" i) a! j+ `% b5 a Maintaining confidentiality of client and program personnel information.
. j, R' a% r* M Representing the Teen Centre in a professional manner.
' ~- n n1 }4 b( c Maintaining professional boundaries between clients and staff.- S& W4 n- l& B* C, E7 D
 Provide additional support to the program as needed under the direction of the Program Manager.& P, D) ?* T ]( {0 B/ i" W
 Reporting to the Program Manager on a Regular basis.

. ^+ \; i' a' T, Z9 r Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.% H4 r6 j! y& w' o+ v2 }7 x" C. O
 Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.
1 I' V( s* h1 d/ u Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.
9 R5 H5 r+ v z8 f Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: latch key, addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.; b5 |6 h0 k& `. q9 [; p r$ w( d
 Knowledge of community resources.
) g' O* [7 Q1 B Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.$ |, ~7 h+ ]# t- q" g
 Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training. 1 r Z# P" s" A) n% \

7 n# v, G$ s) D$ }% g" V2 e* vThis is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; with a combination of afternoons and one weekend shift per month; at an hourly rate of $12.50; 3 u" F! ~) f9 _
starting January 2006. There is a 3-month probationary period. % E5 g) C0 t& p0 M9 a J" ^3 X. A# K
