An engineering start-up, which is committed to support the R&D and industrialization of process technologies in North America with expertise and international resources, now accepts applicant for the position of Mechanical Engineer /Specialist through Industry r&D Associates program, Alberta Ingenuity.

• Process research equipment design;
8 [6 I0 i6 `5 |( M1 s! Q• Pilot plant design with other professional engineers;$ P. K1 ]6 T+ {/ t' L- V
• Equipment fabrication guidance;, d( |* ^5 V1 Q7 k! o/ D$ ]
• Mechanical Codes/Standard elucidation;
! f" k4 f, e# h( S, x• Others., ~7 S: \- P/ j8 m$ W
. \6 C0 m$ S0 W& C6 IQualifications:
% c! x1 I3 } t( s7 j• Mechanical Engineering Graduate of a Master’s or PhD program within five years of application date OR graduate student expecting to complete Master’s or PhD degree requirements within three months.
. z0 B3 `& B& _6 a# T• Equipment design experience is required;
5 i# |. Y: I* [' a• Familiar with mechanical Codes/Standards; knowledge of electrical Codes/Standards is helpful;2 @, S- e. B& N, u6 C
• Familiar with CAD software;, M3 [- U; a, j# }1 A7 u
• Fluent in English, and knowledge of Mandarin is useful;5 D* y w$ ]! D7 p. H
• Fabrication, engineering and postdoctoral experience are assets.

% U$ a) Q" o# Z/ P5 _3 DCompensation:
( F& C3 B) s4 i8 t8 aSuccessful applicant of Alberta Ingenuity Industry r&D Associates will be awarded a $55,000 stipend per annum and a yearly allowance of $7,000. The total award value over two years is $124,000 from Alberta Ingenuity with opportunity for permanent position and stock option from the company after two years’ term. 3 e" d6 \! |8 p: Z" F! z
