Major Responsibilities:
1 z$ n% z4 N) _, C' E• Process research equipment design;2 @" ` z% ]8 O" A( j8 D; ~
• Pilot plant design with other professional engineers;' C9 S! g7 W) ~
• Equipment fabrication guidance; l, l4 t5 t$ Z7 j. ^2 v9 }& c0 p% ?. }
• Mechanical Codes/Standard elucidation;0 e+ v6 G- e& B. \
• Others.

g7 @4 M; C* c4 D( O g8 r3 XQualifications:
- z7 c$ ~4 d) `: U. P• Mechanical Engineering Graduate of a Master’s or PhD program within five years of application date OR graduate student expecting to complete Master’s or PhD degree requirements within three months. & X# Y$ F' P! ^8 ], g. a8 I6 I
• Equipment design experience is required;( ^1 a, X9 {6 l/ P p' V1 K% |1 j, K0 a: g
• Familiar with mechanical Codes/Standards; knowledge of electrical Codes/Standards is helpful;
% n0 O+ U T7 |. [7 E( S) C! W" T• Familiar with CAD software;9 w% a. Q, A$ n9 \% p
• Fluent in English, and knowledge of Mandarin is useful;
) M* B; K* o" O5 w( q, ~" E• Fabrication, engineering and postdoctoral experience are assets.

Compensation:( D! I- c9 y: h6 ]
Successful applicant of Alberta Ingenuity Industry r&D Associates will be awarded a $55,000 stipend per annum and a yearly allowance of $7,000. The total award value over two years is $124,000 from Alberta Ingenuity with opportunity for permanent position and stock option from the company after two years’ term.
