* j6 |+ p- Q u% m Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.
% g3 m+ a P X5 k; G9 h Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.
( @# Q8 m8 y O4 g Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.

 Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.: Y! ^ N+ g: l4 @4 w
 Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.( x8 u" W4 u/ L4 j. x
 Maintaining confidentiality of client and program personnel information. * q3 E; X1 N3 G4 U1 _ ~ s
 Representing the Teen Centre in a professional manner.
& f$ x7 c% h; z @1 D% G1 V Maintaining professional boundaries between clients and staff.
' W! ~2 J" q/ k& Z' G& s+ n Provide additional support to the program as needed under the direction of the Program Manager.

4 L y3 ]% j- A. {, ?! _ Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.
+ [9 K' O0 C: C3 Z* H5 V& V Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.4 ?+ I- Y0 L; Y$ [2 o
 Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.
1 D" d) ?5 \% N Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: latch key, addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.3 m0 }4 w0 {# Y. b
 Knowledge of community resources. g% }% F% V9 P6 ?; s; Q
 Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.
* b6 Y# E5 H1 R4 N9 G* {- V+ ` Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training.

This is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; with a combination of afternoons and one weekend shift per month; at an hourly rate of $12.50;
