Key Responsibilities & Duties:

- @9 S% Q0 q4 A: s Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.
 Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.
 Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.
 Completing required paperwork.
 Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.
+ U' T7 z" f% z  ^8 p Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.
 Maintaining confidentiality of client and program personnel information.
/ O% F( F+ e; N# l; E* `/ | Representing the Teen Centre in a professional manner.
 Maintaining professional boundaries between clients and staff.
3 l% C0 s7 {% w  d% p* R2 J Provide additional support to the program as needed under the direction of the Program Manager.
* P! G( y5 U$ L2 \6 I6 c% ^; j1 f/ X Reporting to the Program Manager on a Regular basis.

) S! U0 P1 P# J8 e, XQualifications:

 Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.
 Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.
 Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.
 Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: latch key, addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.
  F1 U0 N) h8 N! j Knowledge of community resources.
 Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.
 Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training.

Position:
5 I* N2 l: G; [1 wThis is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; with a combination of afternoons and one weekend shift per month; at an hourly rate of $12.50;
) A& `! L$ t# p1 w7 T. qstarting January 2006. There is a 3-month probationary period.
