Key Responsibilities & Duties:

" G) O9 v9 ?$ B; C! r& H* d& b( T Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.
 Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.
) _  I& p5 M( f6 M$ O/ p5 ~4 R Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.
 Completing required paperwork.
 Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.
 Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.
: x; d- {+ S, ]( i6 W9 s. z9 F Maintaining confidentiality of client and program personnel information.
. X, w# {: S* u- V Representing the Teen Centre in a professional manner.
$ }' D$ h) H/ [7 n% Z, g& k Maintaining professional boundaries between clients and staff.
7 n" H- h* X, B( n3 q6 \  o Provide additional support to the program as needed under the direction of the Program Manager.
 Reporting to the Program Manager on a Regular basis.


2 Q- a: Y2 e/ N: `( z1 \Qualifications:

 Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.
 Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.
 Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.
 Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: latch key, addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.
+ z7 V, W. n: K9 d Knowledge of community resources.
 Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.
 Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training.

This is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; with a combination of afternoons and one weekend shift per month; at an hourly rate of $12.50;
starting January 2006. There is a 3-month probationary period.
