 Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.' }( E6 h; v2 q# F+ a) E. W
 Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.6 {7 U" `) @+ a. z& p9 L( O
 Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.3 l* z& v, z" X, \
 Completing required paperwork.
- d3 X% a2 L; d Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.3 c" S3 J" M- }$ j5 d+ k
 Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.
( v2 _: @: t7 D$ ? Maintaining confidentiality of client and program personnel information.
$ h* C1 F0 `# I0 E) L Representing the Teen Centre in a professional manner.) E1 \2 R6 B7 }) t
 Maintaining professional boundaries between clients and staff.
& A1 g' u; X4 ]' s" R Provide additional support to the program as needed under the direction of the Program Manager.

) d1 X y1 n, ]# l, S Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.% G' S. ]# s4 y# {. s
 Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.
# [" @- u6 O& }2 }1 J- \: T# T Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.
5 J* W9 w( H9 j, K7 Q6 |% ~ Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.; H6 t" b# o2 B/ i8 Q" _
 Knowledge of community resources., X% @/ M7 O: J0 a. m# {# M
 Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.. h$ W& i7 p L7 j$ h
 Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training.

7 V3 M" w) a7 O S. L; Z5 Z, UThis is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; evening and weekend shifts; at an hourly rate of $12.50; starting February 8 2006.
