 Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.( V [7 v1 D8 t7 t; Y% Y' N
 Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.
& t" X6 I" b# V8 S Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.
3 L; k( V9 u8 t& B8 x Completing required paperwork.
o' C D B- c: p5 L9 \' P1 g Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.
8 G6 H- g" u. h6 c- g) ~ Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.

 Representing the Teen Centre in a professional manner.
& H/ O% u9 M+ A8 c. V }4 I Maintaining professional boundaries between clients and staff.
) U. @- Z: E5 I& N/ D; B Provide additional support to the program as needed under the direction of the Program Manager.

2 ~: Y( C6 h, X% A% K& g$ B" \ Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.% U$ t: H' ~7 j9 A# K4 i( m
 Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.
- ^& _5 x g9 N' V7 [ Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.
* C1 M% _6 U' e% \* T$ }( y6 Q Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.
8 R% ?- c4 N4 H5 u9 K4 l* | Knowledge of community resources.. M% I+ }5 F ?/ X" J/ [+ [
 Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.4 K8 u7 p( F& z, o9 _
 Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training.

This is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; evening and weekend shifts; at an hourly rate of $12.50; starting February 8 2006. & x& h" M$ M+ g
