Key Responsibilities & Duties:
& L$ w7 `! Z; Q9 Y5 T
( C2 @: C. p* u1 A Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.
 Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.
 Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.
 Completing required paperwork.
 Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.
7 a+ e$ h! ^9 B Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.
# y0 R/ z; G$ Q- z- Y Maintaining confidentiality of client and program personnel information.
 Representing the Teen Centre in a professional manner.
! \( l$ D  s) s& W8 { Maintaining professional boundaries between clients and staff.
- N8 b; t! w( f2 S Provide additional support to the program as needed under the direction of the Program Manager.
 Reporting to the Program Manager on a Regular basis.

: w6 F6 ]: W' T# L7 \
 Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.
5 h5 y# A+ k$ |+ u: I; D Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.
5 o/ @( N& [% [3 d& D5 r, D Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.
 Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.
( a, L; K4 U7 E' c2 c9 o8 r: P Knowledge of community resources.
 Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.
" [8 I) G% Y- f4 @  M/ W. Y: u' h Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training.

Position:
This is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; evening and weekend shifts; at an hourly rate of $12.50; starting February 8 2006.
* i8 B) C3 Z$ \( e2 h  L2 DThere is a 3-month probationary period.
