Assists with the creation and implementation of computer software as directed by the project management team (includes leading edge machine learning techniques, robot control, gaming and simulation)1 H* C% n5 \1 m* Z% A+ d6 g5 L
Provides techical support to end-users as directed and is responsible for ensuring end-user usability and satisfaction when required: C& {. X/ k+ J5 }
Performs other general programiming tasks such as building GUI (graphical user interfaces) front ends, etc. as directed* r. M) S/ z" [, M g

Qualifications8 y* W% n+ W% V/ j% L2 h2 S1 T
Diploma in Computing Science; undergraduate degree in Computing Science preferred
7 p/ r- S9 S' KDemonstrated work experience with Web programming and scripting tools such as PHP and Perl, and mySQL database design and management; knowledge of MatLab, Weka and CVS repository system preferred1 S+ ?# Q2 J% l' f2 _' v3 F
Solid knowledge of microcomputer operating systems (Windows XP as well as Unix/Linux); experience in other domains (Bioinformatics, electronic entertainment, ecommerce) an asset; Dynamic programming an asset
3 G" d- T! Q% WKnowledge of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning technologies preferred$ \# b8 x5 }9 V" a% y
Familiarity with object orientated analysis and design and project life-cycle methodologies is a benefit6 ~% d" [, c# p1 W" ~8 F% t! e
Relevant programming experience using Java, C++, and other programming languages
