Duties* S* v4 O# c* G& h
Assists with the creation and implementation of computer software as directed by the project management team (includes leading edge machine learning techniques, robot control, gaming and simulation). ^ Z' f/ B7 X7 e* p' l0 }
Provides techical support to end-users as directed and is responsible for ensuring end-user usability and satisfaction when required
# U3 Y# h' i LPerforms other general programiming tasks such as building GUI (graphical user interfaces) front ends, etc. as directed8 }# i" [1 c+ A% F9 T$ P3 p

Qualifications
. I6 j) Y8 [& k) CDiploma in Computing Science; undergraduate degree in Computing Science preferred
- [) p2 a6 G, z. ?# xDemonstrated work experience with Web programming and scripting tools such as PHP and Perl, and mySQL database design and management; knowledge of MatLab, Weka and CVS repository system preferred
4 V6 E# C0 T" A/ R- n xSolid knowledge of microcomputer operating systems (Windows XP as well as Unix/Linux); experience in other domains (Bioinformatics, electronic entertainment, ecommerce) an asset; Dynamic programming an asset8 ~7 O1 @+ \$ y& [. B& e v+ B$ w
Knowledge of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning technologies preferred; Y8 q8 J/ I3 f* T
Familiarity with object orientated analysis and design and project life-cycle methodologies is a benefit: {8 d- Y' ^- f( I) w6 U
Relevant programming experience using Java, C++, and other programming languages5 z9 @ t- w4 Y/ L% H
