Delivers, sorts and picks up mail, parcels, courier documents, cylinders, crates, dangerous goods, furniture, tack boards, tables and chairs, surplus equipment, and any related incoming and outgoing items
/ a5 b  Z' k+ s' _% PObtains signatures, scans traceable items into Palm Pilots upon delivery to departments
3 s% L7 A* M1 u; o3 H' M8 Z) lEnsures Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) regulations are followed on TDG shipments inbound and outbound
& y# o- b* x) O+ _- r$ EPrioritizes workload and requests from dispatcher and team lead
Operates University vehicles from small vans to 3-ton trucks, including standard transmissions
Performs related duties as required

; S  K1 ?( F/ |/ m0 k+ Y$ C5 p1 w  jValid Class 5 drivers license - the successful candidate will be required to provide a Drivers' Abstract and have completed a Defensive Driving course in the previous 2 years.
High School diploma; previous driving experience required
) k# ^) `% o  xCurrent certification in Transportation of Dangerous Goods; Workplace Hazardous Material Information System (WHMIS) certification
Training related to proper handling procedures of Radioactive and Biohazard materials
Ability to operate equipment including forklift, power-jack, pallet-jack, Johnson bar
Forklift operating certificate
