8 w3 A1 ?' ]; n! F. ]& ~- T4 |- _ Complete comprehensive intake and needs assessment process and develop referral and case plans to support newcomers in fully settling and participating in the community  
 Continue to follow-up with newcomers, EMCN staff and other service providers to ensure newcomers’ needs are met     
 Provide holistic counselling to individuals and families, including hands-on support with accessing resources and resolving difficult issues
 Advocate on newcomers’ behalf to programs, institutions and service providers
# A# U& r- d6 w  n/ k, \$ W Research and maintain current information about programs and resources available in the community
. r- P1 A/ g) M/ L9 h Develop and maintain ongoing relationships with staff of programs and services in the city and ensure EMCN clients access the most appropriate solutions to meet their needs
 Work as a team with EMCN staff to ensure holistic supports are provided to newcomers.

 Social work degree or diploma
3 v. E- f5 O' x$ n Current RSW designation preferred   
0 U- Y6 w1 [8 q8 S Demonstrated experience with holistic case management and supportive counselling
) n. s8 a& e2 m& C  V9 o Knowledge of and experience in accessing a wide range of programs, services and supports available in the City  
7 e$ m* V0 f) G- ]- `3 Z' K Ability to effectively listen, assess needs and guide people in a supportive manner
 Sensitivity to cross-cultural issues
1 T6 n% w9 O' H; d  k! w: F9 w Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills
 Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
1 N5 I* O6 d- Z1 o# b Ability to perform variety of diverse tasks under time pressure.
