. f. W( `3 Z& eResponsibilities
 Complete comprehensive intake and needs assessment process and develop referral and case plans to support newcomers in fully settling and participating in the community  
 Continue to follow-up with newcomers, EMCN staff and other service providers to ensure newcomers’ needs are met     
 Provide holistic counselling to individuals and families, including hands-on support with accessing resources and resolving difficult issues
 Advocate on newcomers’ behalf to programs, institutions and service providers
 Research and maintain current information about programs and resources available in the community
4 a. K) J. D3 C% @8 E( V& W Develop and maintain ongoing relationships with staff of programs and services in the city and ensure EMCN clients access the most appropriate solutions to meet their needs
. R5 d* B0 F- R& H" @& i Work as a team with EMCN staff to ensure holistic supports are provided to newcomers.

# v, m/ b* m4 t$ s9 mQualifications
 Social work degree or diploma
 Current RSW designation preferred   
 Demonstrated experience with holistic case management and supportive counselling
  p! A( a0 R, d0 j Knowledge of and experience in accessing a wide range of programs, services and supports available in the City  
  ], ^9 W7 A6 O; p; e Ability to effectively listen, assess needs and guide people in a supportive manner
 Sensitivity to cross-cultural issues
 Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills
 Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
, g- l0 I7 N5 b Ability to perform variety of diverse tasks under time pressure.
