Responsibilities
  p0 m- N1 @& d" t" @+ ~ Complete comprehensive intake and needs assessment process and develop referral and case plans to support newcomers in fully settling and participating in the community  
  ^1 |3 A! z( K, y Continue to follow-up with newcomers, EMCN staff and other service providers to ensure newcomers’ needs are met     
 Provide holistic counselling to individuals and families, including hands-on support with accessing resources and resolving difficult issues
 Advocate on newcomers’ behalf to programs, institutions and service providers
 Research and maintain current information about programs and resources available in the community
 Develop and maintain ongoing relationships with staff of programs and services in the city and ensure EMCN clients access the most appropriate solutions to meet their needs
1 P% P7 [8 [- i) l2 K1 w Work as a team with EMCN staff to ensure holistic supports are provided to newcomers.

# O: Q! S: n- k5 _- h: Q* F Social work degree or diploma
 Current RSW designation preferred   
 Demonstrated experience with holistic case management and supportive counselling
 Knowledge of and experience in accessing a wide range of programs, services and supports available in the City  
4 L7 I) r- C7 b% P6 {7 B: N Ability to effectively listen, assess needs and guide people in a supportive manner
8 E6 w7 S# {, B+ x) u) _& _, U Sensitivity to cross-cultural issues
 Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills
( M1 w$ P' d0 w5 z+ i1 M' q Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
 Ability to perform variety of diverse tasks under time pressure.
