* ~" z$ T& L% n8 E Proactively and independently develop initiatives in ethno-cultural communities that
9 X# U9 N* \) W5 p. w& Pincrease their capacity to participate fully in the community
# h9 O. _( N; t6 Y1 U8 F Develop initiatives that convene stakeholders, community organizations, government agencies and foster collaborations between immigrant and main-stream stakeholders. # {0 S+ ~! _" T2 x4 X, V
 Proactively assist immigrant communities with: identifying needs, training, strategic planning, board development, project development, community economic development, funding proposal writing, program planning and implementation
+ z/ ]/ e: n: g. y/ v" ? ^* c1 u Develop Community Economic Development initiatives and provide small business coaching to groups and individuals t# E7 A Z3 [
 Facilitate group processes and workshops ( p6 H# `9 K5 {( L- [6 ?5 ]$ k, _& Q
 Advocate for systemic changes that foster full participation of newcomers in the community

 Demonstrated ability to independently develop community initiatives
- T1 P) s: r5 i k Community development and CED background and experience
- d, z, o1 R% F9 O Strong group facilitation skills m: u3 l6 ]' S$ @
 Experience supervising staff
) d0 k/ |' J" B, g1 L4 m Understanding of cross-cultural issues+ `9 Y* R6 ~2 s/ L8 x. q
 Excellent written and oral communication skills, including proposal writing skills ; T/ x) k1 M; E" u" B0 t! @) B0 q
 Strong organizational and Program delivery skills* y8 {% b. d* P. w5 M, p% Y

Education/technical skills

3 k$ v! k% x2 Y7 R4 ]& P9 w Post-secondary education
5 z* c1 v0 g- s- S' p5 W) f8 k( e; k Experience/facility with Windows-based computer systems (specifically Windows 95/98/2000, MS Office, MS Word, databases, spreadsheets etc.)
