sexual harassment.

. f" Q; ~* s! T5 D7 G& m2 ]8 pWest was involved in a sex scandal in 2005. He was accused of sexually
) P; G: F8 W% r% Aabusing two young boys in the 1970s and 1980s when he was a sheriff's deputy
* y8 S! h" t& X" Q  k0 [3 rand Boy Scout leader. He was also accused of misusing his office as mayor
+ N. Y% u  t* v) l5 [: S. A, Xto lure teenage boys for sexual relationships. West called the molestation
) H4 e. \2 ]* h0 P% pallegations "flat lies". However he admitted to having private online
relationships in the past year through the Gay.com website (see ([3]).

( r) I" Z: L- }( U! c+ mWest confirmed the accusations of meeting men over the Internet but denied
the charges that he had sought out minors (see[4]). Using the name "Right-
BiGuy" he allegedly offered internships to young gay men (some of whom were
just graduating from high school - none of whom, however, under the age of
18.

Ted Arthur Haggard (born June 27, 1956) is a former American evangelical

founder and former pastor of the New Life Church in Colorado Springs,
Colorado; a founder of the Association of Life-Giving Churches; and was
- H. \1 d$ y% i# }4 R8 eleader of the National Association of Evangelicals (NAE) from 2003[1] until
November 2006.

, such as his purchase of methamphetamine, were true. He later added "sexual
immorality" to his list of confessions.[2]

7 r: s5 O" C, W5 z9 O/ b1 oAfter the scandal was publicized, Haggard entered three weeks of intensive
counseling, overseen by four ministers. In February 2007, one of those
ministers, Tim Ralph, said that Haggard "is completely heterosexual."[3]

# V/ G6 P' J+ F2 ?embrace his heterosexual side."[4] As of early 2009, Haggard continues to

On January 23, 2009, officials from Haggard's former church announced that a

wasn't a one-time act."[76] Haggard's successor, Brady Boyd, said the church
reached a six figure settlement with the man, who was in his early 20s at
