Beginning in 1995, ETIP:

( C* z* c4 z( d3 \immigrants are highly educated and experienced, yet many may find it: J( I) q C" Z H/ J- p3 u" k' F6 Y
difficult to integrate into the Alberta workforce. Some employers may not& b5 H: J& F! q" b% F
recognize their international experience or credentials.

experience and competency-based training, such as applied academics or0 ]" \1 P! e* W

What is the evidence of success?
: G: ?6 F* a' D2 J9 VAs of 2003, more than 80% of ETIP graduates over the past six years have
6 h, T$ i; m' \$ R- ofound engineering or engineering technologist employment in Alberta.1 f3 u5 f9 H4 f
In 2004, 46 engineers graduated from the ETIP program. At the time of
. @( k( l; j- R8 \% T# h0 y( |0 `5 Kgraduation, almost half had secured employment in the engineering industry,6 f# Y; J4 y# c9 J' x
with over 90% employed at three months post-graduation.
