We are currently recruiting for an intermediate level C# analyst for one of our provincial government clients. It is a 1-year contract with possible extensions, and work location is Edmonton, Alberta.

ZReporting directly to the Team Leader and indirectly to the Associate Director of Royalty/Tenure/Communication Applications, the Systems Analyst(s) will perform requirements gathering, maintenance, enhancement, development, and testing tasks on existing in house desktop and/or web applications. The prospective Resource requires a broad knowledge of object oriented technologies, C# programming experience, experience in development and maintenance of large applications, strong communication and interpersonal skills, and a proven ability to function within a team. The ability to lead requirements sessions with business, and formally document the requirements identified in the sessions, is vital to this position.

Responsibilities may include:

8 h" B0 q. f  ]- Gathering and documenting requirements;
! H/ ~* q# g4 p' x, v4 x5 @
- Leading and/or facilitating requirements sessions with business users;
; w# C. o- V* |2 m% x3 p
- Performing detailed analysis and design of proposed application changes;

4 k# O$ {# [2 W3 E- Performing program modifications and enhancements with minimal direction;

) {7 t2 A5 |8 o" p/ T8 a6 X6 k- Providing impact analysis of proposed business changes on the application, in terms of development effort and processing;

/ b( Q' e3 C, B$ H- Developing and executing test cases and scenarios and documenting expected and actual outcomes;

- Providing resolution to problems arising in the production version of the application;

- Developing programs to extract or convert data for use elsewhere;

- Adhering to quality assurance guidelines and maintaining quality assurance on all deliverables;

- Providing on-call support on an as-needed basis;

- Using modeling techniques for data, process and business design.
