We are currently recruiting for an intermediate level C# analyst for one of our provincial government clients. It is a 1-year contract with possible extensions, and work location is Edmonton, Alberta.

7 J+ E( ]3 |+ AReporting directly to the Team Leader and indirectly to the Associate Director of Royalty/Tenure/Communication Applications, the Systems Analyst(s) will perform requirements gathering, maintenance, enhancement, development, and testing tasks on existing in house desktop and/or web applications. The prospective Resource requires a broad knowledge of object oriented technologies, C# programming experience, experience in development and maintenance of large applications, strong communication and interpersonal skills, and a proven ability to function within a team. The ability to lead requirements sessions with business, and formally document the requirements identified in the sessions, is vital to this position.

Responsibilities may include:

8 a( j. Q) n5 H. V- Leading and/or facilitating requirements sessions with business users;

0 G6 D; C3 C" [/ R1 u- Performing detailed analysis and design of proposed application changes;

- Performing program modifications and enhancements with minimal direction;

- Providing impact analysis of proposed business changes on the application, in terms of development effort and processing;

7 s% m* o2 V+ J$ j- Developing and executing test cases and scenarios and documenting expected and actual outcomes;

$ n2 X, q6 S: M. }% U- Providing resolution to problems arising in the production version of the application;

: V, j3 T6 q6 r) U- Leading a subset of the larger team in a particular short term enhancement effort;

- Developing programs to extract or convert data for use elsewhere;

- Adhering to quality assurance guidelines and maintaining quality assurance on all deliverables;

- Liaising with testing teams, client community, and operations areas;

' v% G3 B( n" v" ]- Providing on-call support on an as-needed basis;

& Y* G% L# f7 _2 j+ o- Status reporting to team leader as required;

- Developing and maintaining application documentation; and
