We are currently recruiting for an intermediate level C# analyst for one of our provincial government clients. It is a 1-year contract with possible extensions, and work location is Edmonton, Alberta.

$ q1 q; y2 |' r# L: q2 O7 X+ EReporting directly to the Team Leader and indirectly to the Associate Director of Royalty/Tenure/Communication Applications, the Systems Analyst(s) will perform requirements gathering, maintenance, enhancement, development, and testing tasks on existing in house desktop and/or web applications. The prospective Resource requires a broad knowledge of object oriented technologies, C# programming experience, experience in development and maintenance of large applications, strong communication and interpersonal skills, and a proven ability to function within a team. The ability to lead requirements sessions with business, and formally document the requirements identified in the sessions, is vital to this position.

Responsibilities may include:

- Gathering and documenting requirements;
1 ~& C2 j1 p# g7 k6 \# F$ C
- Leading and/or facilitating requirements sessions with business users;
0 m* M* q( D& l+ ^9 i1 C/ m
- Performing detailed analysis and design of proposed application changes;
7 I2 t% @4 g8 [  x/ T5 i# [' C
- Performing program modifications and enhancements with minimal direction;
# e" h9 t. ?( x
% g  {7 t0 J, ~( [6 ^- Providing impact analysis of proposed business changes on the application, in terms of development effort and processing;
6 S7 Z2 ?7 {! X" e/ d3 D2 ~( D" r$ ^
- Developing and executing test cases and scenarios and documenting expected and actual outcomes;

- Providing resolution to problems arising in the production version of the application;

( a8 f* x8 q0 c/ t1 b$ {- Leading a subset of the larger team in a particular short term enhancement effort;

- Adhering to quality assurance guidelines and maintaining quality assurance on all deliverables;

- Liaising with testing teams, client community, and operations areas;

- Providing on-call support on an as-needed basis;

- Developing and maintaining application documentation; and
