We are currently recruiting for an intermediate level C# analyst for one of our provincial government clients. It is a 1-year contract with possible extensions, and work location is Edmonton, Alberta.

Reporting directly to the Team Leader and indirectly to the Associate Director of Royalty/Tenure/Communication Applications, the Systems Analyst(s) will perform requirements gathering, maintenance, enhancement, development, and testing tasks on existing in house desktop and/or web applications. The prospective Resource requires a broad knowledge of object oriented technologies, C# programming experience, experience in development and maintenance of large applications, strong communication and interpersonal skills, and a proven ability to function within a team. The ability to lead requirements sessions with business, and formally document the requirements identified in the sessions, is vital to this position.

Responsibilities may include:

( h4 H  r  o5 t0 B, w, t7 w3 d* M- Leading and/or facilitating requirements sessions with business users;

& F/ F8 \. x) a3 a- Performing detailed analysis and design of proposed application changes;

- Performing program modifications and enhancements with minimal direction;

8 C1 w# `2 D0 l! k% V6 ]- Providing impact analysis of proposed business changes on the application, in terms of development effort and processing;

- Developing and executing test cases and scenarios and documenting expected and actual outcomes;

$ p- X: p+ V: e( N: ^5 J9 N1 e- Providing resolution to problems arising in the production version of the application;

- x) {# j/ a2 D3 R8 i6 p2 y- Leading a subset of the larger team in a particular short term enhancement effort;

- Adhering to quality assurance guidelines and maintaining quality assurance on all deliverables;

- Liaising with testing teams, client community, and operations areas;

- Providing on-call support on an as-needed basis;
