We are currently recruiting for an intermediate level C# analyst for one of our provincial government clients. It is a 1-year contract with possible extensions, and work location is Edmonton, Alberta.

Reporting directly to the Team Leader and indirectly to the Associate Director of Royalty/Tenure/Communication Applications, the Systems Analyst(s) will perform requirements gathering, maintenance, enhancement, development, and testing tasks on existing in house desktop and/or web applications. The prospective Resource requires a broad knowledge of object oriented technologies, C# programming experience, experience in development and maintenance of large applications, strong communication and interpersonal skills, and a proven ability to function within a team. The ability to lead requirements sessions with business, and formally document the requirements identified in the sessions, is vital to this position.

Responsibilities may include:
  ?% Z8 j6 u$ X1 ^  m/ E1 e* Q% ^
- Gathering and documenting requirements;

- Leading and/or facilitating requirements sessions with business users;

4 G- F; D& Z% z5 o1 ^- Performing detailed analysis and design of proposed application changes;

- Performing program modifications and enhancements with minimal direction;

- Providing impact analysis of proposed business changes on the application, in terms of development effort and processing;

. N, D' c6 w5 K( ?6 h0 S- Developing and executing test cases and scenarios and documenting expected and actual outcomes;

9 Z3 m- q) X! n2 e4 {$ j+ O- Leading a subset of the larger team in a particular short term enhancement effort;

) }. \1 {4 S/ k2 D# T$ G) j- Adhering to quality assurance guidelines and maintaining quality assurance on all deliverables;

: h' s4 M$ A3 M0 c- Liaising with testing teams, client community, and operations areas;

- Providing on-call support on an as-needed basis;

- Status reporting to team leader as required;

- U* n$ V: x4 K- Developing and maintaining application documentation; and

- Using modeling techniques for data, process and business design.
