Alberta College is governed by an independent Board of Governors
$ _ b# I9 U' H8 b+ ~drawn from a wide cross-section of the community. Established in
$ C; j* K; i" K- C$ f6 Z1903, Alberta College predates both the City of Edmonton and the
* q W& V# m! bProvince of Alberta. It was founded by concerned citizens as the 8 F8 Y$ C7 m% Z' z; D
first post-secondary school in the area, on land bequeathed by

initially had three departments: academics, commerce and music,
