 Provide ongoing positive encouragement and support to clients accessing the Resource Centre./ ]$ j7 r; J% ]( _
 Continuously interact with all clients in the Resource Area to ensure that their job search requirements are being met.

 Update and maintain job boards.

 Engage with and build a professional trusting relationship with newcomers, treating them with dignity and in line with the values of the Bredin Institute.3 c# d" L3 r( T2 a- o4 B
 Support newcomers participation in the settlement program.7 m8 z6 d1 P$ F: J
 Promote Bredin Institute’s mission, vision, values and strategic objectives.2 g/ d5 C, h6 S# R& d
 Encourage independence and self determination in newcomers

 Accompany newcomers to other agencies and to act as advocate as necessary.

 Keep up-to-date all other administrative tasks as directed by the Program Co-ordinator.

 Deliver program overview to potential clients, as well as other interested parties.$ |, ]# t; ?$ [/ R& R
 Screen and assess clients’ skills and abilities through a workability assessment.4 U2 r# P  F& E0 D
 Determination of which stream of services most appropriate for the client.8 i. \# O1 a$ h" m6 z# H* N
 Provide referral information on other services that may be more suitable for the client." M, V5 {! j# J
 Cooperatively with the client, develop an individualized service plan.

 Interact with participants on a continuous basis so that the Service Plan progress can be monitored throughout the program and into the follow up period

 Ensure that participants have access to the required supports to successfully complete their Service Plan

7 w* y% o) Q- F Assist clients with obtaining required documentation for working in their profession in Canada
8 Z, N; A6 N& Z4 d, ?9 e7 g  j/ y7 x Develop and maintain knowledge of current programs and services available for participants
