Working closely with the distribution and warehouse teams, this position is responsible for load planning and balancing for Southern and Central Alberta
( S$ I4 N0 X. t' A/ i& X7 H6 V1 r
( m+ s& }, l+ MJOB DUTIES:
1 T+ s7 G9 M) ~  `+ ~8 b% G        Balance loads efficiently in order to effectively utilize line haul trailer capacity;
8 n& _0 U( ]- a8 w- G) `        Load Tendering & Scheduling of Commodity Shipments
        Operational communication with all Transport providers
4 r/ J3 X% B$ ]8 e$ E" N        Booking of delivery appointments when required
        Make recommendations in order to maximize efficiencies and reduce costs
) j; Z8 T! K: a& v; n" R1 ^; J& u/ x) J' w        Various reporting functions, including cube analysis, carrier performance & compliance, etc.
+ F8 {9 p+ V. |" d% y        Liaison between Route Settlement, Warehouse and Distribution;
' W  t+ J; u3 R        Special assigned projects;
# }+ k/ \4 j% V( ~4 x2 j+ }& T        Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:
        High School diploma or equivalent;
        Post secondary education related to business or accounting is an asset;
8 }. d8 K; c. R4 o' e        Experience working in a Distribution or Warehouse setting;
        Experience in the transportation industry an asset;
. n) L! P, v5 B5 y7 q: v- k7 Q( M        Proficient computer skills, including Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft office (Word, Excel)
0 W- V$ D2 n* \% y# h; V, \0 w        Self motivated, with the ability to work under pressure and establish priorities.
        Sound communication and interpersonal skills.
9 J, i1 E( ?% f6 f        Strong organizational and analytical skills.
