Job Description
2 R" U3 b6 W4 U; I! ~7 K% |8 ^- promote the Centre’s ISP to community organizations, businesses, educational institutions, etc. by in-person presentations, phone or sending relevant information" s3 c1 a/ v, P6 h7 J9 I
- promote ISP in various media: newspaper, radio, newsletter, etc.6 L+ Y5 y4 ?% F
- develop or update brochures, pamphlets, information packages, etc. for ISP' ]) S+ a+ s V" d/ |! n
- provide support to ISP staff3 a- j& k+ }: {/ U5 e
- recruit new members to the Newcomers Club and maintain existing members
, F6 R. T2 q" b3 ~. n- m- promote, organize and coordinate the Newcomers Club’s activities
0 ?% o9 [9 U/ @( b- outreach in different areas of the city where new immigrants are concentrated0 ^4 b; ~! E. k" u
- attend meetings relevant to ISP and outreach work to advocate issues and concerns of new immigrants, s5 @( D! V$ G& }) d$ T S
- adapt to a flexible working schedule to accommodate the program’s goals
7 G8 p- n' Y* i$ ?3 ]- fulfill the goals and objectives of ISP as contracted by funder1 L6 Q' O, F8 \; p+ P3 k
- report writing, data collection, conduct evaluations, budget management, etc.
+ b. ]* G! j: C0 |- recruit and coordinate volunteers to assist with outreach activities+ V1 F) U+ f8 F' }% j2 C0 G3 K
- assist with front counter services as needed and assigned3 y* Z C+ ?" l. v9 |% r) g
- other duties as assigned

- degree/diploma in social work/human services and eligibility to be registered to area of discipline; relevant experience with community services/projects/immigrants will be considered: ~8 P# d) U* B9 z' e
- knowledge of immigrant issues and concerns, community resources and services available' @8 x8 I2 `( e& Q# U% V- [; q9 z
- experience in working with community groups and community liaison workers
/ v. ]( L! `+ B! v D% m- good computer skills using Microsoft and Chinese software
8 P: v6 S- ?. T; f4 N7 n7 Y- speak & write Chinese (fluent in Mandarin preferred)
