Job Description" i# P+ B) e6 |8 o# O
- promote the Centre’s ISP to community organizations, businesses, educational institutions, etc. by in-person presentations, phone or sending relevant information: y2 k" ^7 E. L7 P* G! Y6 A
- promote ISP in various media: newspaper, radio, newsletter, etc.
+ v* h0 J. K1 T) E; J! L$ Q. L P5 p5 `' a- develop or update brochures, pamphlets, information packages, etc. for ISP: V2 p$ T0 p0 x1 A$ b& S, g! A
- provide support to ISP staff
$ c/ C' v. ?% t3 V- recruit new members to the Newcomers Club and maintain existing members
: t- m' g; x+ x3 Y, k2 M! N/ n- promote, organize and coordinate the Newcomers Club’s activities
: j" ^: ^/ {! Y, c- outreach in different areas of the city where new immigrants are concentrated
5 o" b2 Q N; n% a+ X9 ]3 X- attend meetings relevant to ISP and outreach work to advocate issues and concerns of new immigrants: Q8 @' M+ P4 x1 ^# B
- adapt to a flexible working schedule to accommodate the program’s goals
7 _) r0 M1 E4 c" h. c, e- fulfill the goals and objectives of ISP as contracted by funder
& B0 x4 `7 x7 n/ I [- report writing, data collection, conduct evaluations, budget management, etc.
8 j1 e" `$ F9 L4 N; s- recruit and coordinate volunteers to assist with outreach activities, D: B2 \7 N5 A% J; \
- assist with front counter services as needed and assigned

- degree/diploma in social work/human services and eligibility to be registered to area of discipline; relevant experience with community services/projects/immigrants will be considered
4 B: N1 ?7 `- L. E6 y9 _- knowledge of immigrant issues and concerns, community resources and services available+ {9 m9 c1 V8 X/ Q f2 T; p7 U
- experience in working with community groups and community liaison workers( l% v" O) [1 _- l! R7 {
- good computer skills using Microsoft and Chinese software) h7 f. T* Q. o& S/ a4 e
- speak & write Chinese (fluent in Mandarin preferred)0 Y4 {, A* W8 S& T: B9 E
- good interpersonal and people skills
