SEDI is hiring an in-house financial literacy trainer/coordinator who will help build financial literacy programs across Canada.

• conduct socio-economic market and policy research
# k; |- m, O- o7 @# Z0 U1 u8 y, J• act as a knowledge broker between communities and policy makers, and influence public policies that affect low income earners
2 i* G: C' R" o# F• develop socio-economic programs and manage their implementation $ z; A, e- |% s; Q! k* t$ N5 d
• partner with other nonprofits across Canada to deliver programs * f+ M( M9 H: r% ^; R
• provide training and capacity building to frontline nonprofits : m# t* l! n; a9 @
• work strategically with the public and private sectors to develop innovative responses ! w# m1 a( ^2 C* G
• to work to reduce economic vulnerability in Canada

• Facilitation of forums and training of trainers sessions (basic financial literacy) with staff at partner community organizations across Canada ; U' O9 O/ }0 t9 y7 x, w
• Assistance in the development and design of financial literacy tools (ie- curriculum, videos etc)
% ?& n. k4 ^. ?2 M" \' @$ u• Coordination of activities and communication with delivery sites of the CCFL as required , @( }/ `- T, E; @3 a
• Working with the website and communications teams on CCFL communications activities
% o* o9 c. v! {9 W• Working with evaluation and management information systems team
8 O( l1 \$ P8 b+ o7 p% d• Other CCFL duties (reporting, evaluation, communications) as required

• Organizing and monitoring the collection of all evaluation forms, surveys, and reports from project partners 5 |- C6 [! x3 C' B) ]
• Working with in-house Management Information System staff to facilitate data input, analysis and reporting
: _2 t" f# b% ]• Writing and editing of research and evaluation reports, project reports and internal progress reports 3 p1 V* Q: O0 E0 `. x6 i/ C
• Participating in the development of Internet-based strategies for sharing findings/effective practices and for promoting learning
+ B; ]9 s6 | G4 T% RPrimary Qualifications: ) r6 n; W3 ~3 n( T
• Demonstrated group facilitation experience
( y" H& q' F7 j" S& Q! E• Strong communication and public speaking skills; including comfortable with new technology and social media " d* S; [( E/ ]
• Able to travel across Canada to conduct training
w& |' C8 j! R0 v# _; S4 r( ?7 U• Entrepreneurial spirit, can proactively identify prospective opportunities ! N- ?! k: u6 ~6 b# M
• Highly motivated self-starter with team orientation; ability to build committed and collaborative teams ' h& X) R# ]( C$ m" Z" [2 ?
• Passion, enthusiasm and deep commitment to the SEDI mission, vision, values and goals . C$ v. h0 S5 x; H, E9 Q
• Demonstrated understanding of basic financial literacy concepts
/ s* k+ M4 W. ~; C• Experience in working with economically vulnerable Canadians and the organizations that serve them

• Experience in ‘training of trainers’ activities or education 4 V6 q) b7 e% g- y
• Content / curriculum development experience
9 l5 x" z% d; E9 n) j% Y/ g• Team player, able to deal effectively with multi-sectoral partners

• Computer skills: Word, ACCESS, Power Point etc.
