• conduct socio-economic market and policy research / s) S- d2 y. n/ H7 ?$ S2 V; F' @& e
• act as a knowledge broker between communities and policy makers, and influence public policies that affect low income earners # a' U+ C: A7 L& @) T" f" w1 k
• develop socio-economic programs and manage their implementation
+ q/ C/ V& S! Z8 e# ?; o6 J• partner with other nonprofits across Canada to deliver programs
' N; I% S' R, H+ b$ J+ S$ U- p• provide training and capacity building to frontline nonprofits
' Q" X+ J; i! r5 x: x! D• work strategically with the public and private sectors to develop innovative responses

Primary Responsibilities and Activities:
+ I/ k3 t4 g. x- b4 S' N/ x+ O2 N' ~• Facilitation of forums and training of trainers sessions (basic financial literacy) with staff at partner community organizations across Canada
( N+ x6 u/ v6 s u• Assistance in the development and design of financial literacy tools (ie- curriculum, videos etc)
7 Y- w7 M& l$ B( Y8 U• Coordination of activities and communication with delivery sites of the CCFL as required
; `: s9 M9 n9 y1 @7 q• Working with the website and communications teams on CCFL communications activities - z+ U6 m& U) f7 O1 b3 U2 g
• Working with evaluation and management information systems team
0 z( [! v! l8 C8 l' ?2 w! W• Other CCFL duties (reporting, evaluation, communications) as required

8 M/ d' V2 a- u% p• Providing support to implement research and evaluation activities, solve implementation challenges, and fine-tune strategies
; z3 ?1 }0 {. z4 H8 l• Organizing and monitoring the collection of all evaluation forms, surveys, and reports from project partners
D5 V8 G8 y, }4 }• Working with in-house Management Information System staff to facilitate data input, analysis and reporting + H9 _, v" }9 b" m
• Writing and editing of research and evaluation reports, project reports and internal progress reports 2 Q6 A7 C _" V t2 l- d: J3 M( {
• Participating in the development of Internet-based strategies for sharing findings/effective practices and for promoting learning 3 I: Q/ K( N' {. V5 \: u) l. k) A
Primary Qualifications:
: @3 \7 o+ b8 F1 j0 z5 ~9 Y• Demonstrated group facilitation experience
9 R s$ U9 K$ v4 ^• Strong communication and public speaking skills; including comfortable with new technology and social media
9 f0 f# n3 Q. p0 v4 c y8 Q3 H• Able to travel across Canada to conduct training
" n6 `% e" K# V1 }• Entrepreneurial spirit, can proactively identify prospective opportunities
' ~( M, c! G2 P) y• Highly motivated self-starter with team orientation; ability to build committed and collaborative teams
( M2 |. G' Y) e" n' |8 U• Passion, enthusiasm and deep commitment to the SEDI mission, vision, values and goals - j' }3 j T9 K
• Demonstrated understanding of basic financial literacy concepts $ \ Q7 c m: k7 I% @! R8 T( N# z
• Experience in working with economically vulnerable Canadians and the organizations that serve them
/ J& P0 ]. {4 d- J8 |• Experience working directly with community organizations that serve segments of the population such as: youth, seniors, women, aboriginal peoples, newcomers to Canada etc
) R9 j3 i2 h& z: p& U% C: M• Experience in ‘training of trainers’ activities or education
* Q2 q) E& w9 Y: r- ]/ \8 j• Content / curriculum development experience

• Computer skills: Word, ACCESS, Power Point etc.
