1. It's cool." P( A4 ?" M8 `3 R, ?% d
1 a$ i" [0 Z( R3 I1 B: j% u7 G
(可指人或事物)也就是 something good or acceptable;situation is under control;being calm, gentle, courteous or good-looking;meet teen's standard.
) Q" V6 @: q8 Y% i    That's cool;he is cool;this is cool. 5 Z- E$ N. y. g6 h& C
    Skydiving (或surfing) is cool.(跳伞或冲浪运动很不错)! f. _: S: z, R4 o& j; @

1 Q0 S3 @- |& r8 j0 C主词可用任何人称的单复数 (I, we, they 等),动词可用 verb to be 的任何时态 (is, was, were, will be, have been等)。 ^- W3 T6 p
    She (He) was cool in the past. : x2 V( U" y% v9 D6 m
    That's a cool T-shirt.(好看的运动衫) ; P$ Z$ v+ p1 y* v4 L& I. B6 T
    He (she) is a cool person.(文雅礼貌的人) $ n, r' g0 O) |
9 A4 m$ U: P% S  K% Y4 \7 W+ a
但是如果说:Are you cool?
& s5 W' X" A1 D: ]    She looks as cool as a cucumber. 又是恭维语,是说她很 calm and charming; not & y3 s/ O/ O1 o! @. }
    emotional. 但为何用黄瓜 (cucumber) 代表,则不得而知。 0 `0 f' B4 N, s
    (注:许多华人把 cool 译成「很酷」) " D4 ^6 `$ }* O2 N& A( |1 O

, s* l% Q- R1 f: C6 E3 O: }6 v2. Are you trippin'?
! H5 p. Y9 o8 C& [4 w" W
$ x' n4 c% W/ Z' n# C4 x+ Ttrippin' 这个字,是由动词 trip 演变而来。(动词时态是:tripped, tripping)年轻人用省略符号 (apostrophe ) 代替 g,表示是 slang,或口头禅。这个字是现在分词当形容词用,是指行为异乎寻常,也许受到吸毒或喝酒的影响,而显得神魂颠倒、奇形怪状(to get high on drug such as LSD),也就是说:要不是受到药、酒的影响,你为什 显得这样古怪呢?(Are you under any influence of drug or alcoholic? Why are you so crazy and bizarre?) 所以可以说: # Q' W& w! {/ l2 X
    They are trippin'. (= tripping)
* Y) }+ d) f& G8 x    She (he) is trippin'. 2 ~2 [' n8 v  e& b+ }% b1 p
Mr. A must be trippin'.
7 H# o% q" D" q5 ^, A/ K6 V3 k
1 D- ?$ i, s4 ]& d. q. B
3. He is a nerd! u) r. t) R  D

(A person always buries his nose in books, but not good at social situations.)
    He used to be a nerd in high school , C9 `5 M  _: S( b) @5 h

& Z+ h+ g( r' V4 B7 i4. Yo baby9 U) r0 a' S8 Y9 x

(He thinks she is pretty and attractive, so he wants to speak to her.),也就是找话题,想要「打开话匣」。(to use as a form of opening line or pick-up line or to begin a greeting; try to know her or date her) 如果说:
2 i- _: e7 o; R3 D7 J+ d' ^    Yo baby, are you trippin'?
诸如:4 x  W2 w+ z# A! [: q
May I help you with something? I think I have met you somewhere before. $ c& I2 {( e: [) B; m% M7 M) K
3 a# i8 A) f) i' A3 U7 O1 [; \; \    Hey, hey, hey, what's going on?“what is going on?”就是年轻黑人打招呼的用语 (a form of greeting or open statement) 或 Hey, hey, hey, are you going to the movie?(帅哥,你是去看电影吗?)
8 S2 Z$ R+ m9 D- o: Y2 b- A5 z5 I: G0 g9 E$ J
5. She is a ho+ @5 P3 u$ Y1 x/ |$ G9 b
. {$ c. p4 W0 ~
(a girl or woman gives sex freely without charge),也就是说:She is very loose. 或 She is a loose woman (girl)。 ^1 [8 l- i' h9 p, S
    They are (were) hos.
0 Q. c: T! X% K" O. c( u    There are quite a few hos in high schools. (a girl or woman is paid for sex.) $ P) _! R0 z; ~# _
8 s. d8 {) f2 B9 _" V) N
6. Catch you later!7 x% L( W7 [8 K

(a form to say“good乡bye”) 也就是说:现在没有时间与你交谈,以後再谈吧!(I don't have time to talk with you now, but we can talk later.) catch 後面,也可用其他人称代名词(him, her, them 等)
. n/ B: Y4 n4 h3 d有时年轻小伙子也用:I am off. I am leaving now; I'll talk to you again.
& s) J+ ~* \  ?% ~6 v(我要走了,再谈吧!)
