1. It's cool.$ u: v- i/ e0 ^; R* f/ Q4 f% i0 n
9 [: P5 ]+ z6 ~
(可指人或事物)也就是 something good or acceptable;situation is under control;being calm, gentle, courteous or good-looking;meet teen's standard.
: t% M0 r& c* w* @5 O    That's cool;he is cool;this is cool.   a, \* o/ B( G
    Skydiving (或surfing) is cool.(跳伞或冲浪运动很不错)
, @5 ^9 Z2 P5 \4 n0 U) O) d1 A* O# b  C
主词可用任何人称的单复数 (I, we, they 等),动词可用 verb to be 的任何时态 (is, was, were, will be, have been等)。
! v# u  }& w6 {+ H    She (He) was cool in the past. * {' a8 J8 e+ z) q
    That's a cool T-shirt.(好看的运动衫) ! w! S- D' v+ T( ]0 _6 H& E( v
He (she) is a cool person.(文雅礼貌的人)
4 L# n; D( `6 ]; A! b/ a5 k+ @0 f4 y" F8 P8 L
但是如果说:Are you cool?
/ q* |! ^1 |! `% M    She looks as cool as a cucumber. 又是恭维语,是说她很 calm and charming; not 9 X) G: M6 D# E$ Y7 z  v
    emotional.
  h: ~/ \$ [2 L/ {) c" p    (注:许多华人把 cool 译成「很酷」)
. I# K' z- [. C- ~/ r+ x
+ D& U( S+ H/ F5 a9 B- q; l2. Are you trippin'?- X. P& G. e* d' A( B

这个字是现在分词当形容词用,是指行为异乎寻常,也许受到吸毒或喝酒的影响,而显得神魂颠倒、奇形怪状(to get high on drug such as LSD),也就是说:要不是受到药、酒的影响,你为什 显得这样古怪呢?(Are you under any influence of drug or alcoholic? Why are you so crazy and bizarre?)
+ ]) s( `. _; D/ i    They are trippin'. (= tripping)
8 @8 d0 |, U3 `0 ^2 N- D/ t' j    She (he) is trippin'. * T) _5 b. w" c( B* D8 p$ `. ]
Mr. A must be trippin'. 3 \3 z4 D5 g3 e% x  T
8 l- M6 ?1 d! F( w& H
5 Z8 ^/ J6 U; R$ j7 ~# |
3. He is a nerd- t4 n7 u1 I" ?; v& l. t
) u$ s: _$ [4 O  V, n+ W% h
(A person always buries his nose in books, but not good at social situations.)
0 P9 l) E: c( U3 `    He used to be a nerd in high school
, A2 z) R$ H1 H. Z3 \; w  a' `. b; x; i- R! M2 _
4. Yo baby
+ k+ ^2 O6 u* M+ h. V/ q0 i1 s
(He thinks she is pretty and attractive, so he wants to speak to her.),也就是找话题,想要「打开话匣」。(to use as a form of opening line or pick-up line or to begin a greeting; try to know her or date her) 如果说: 1 g/ {! m  P9 k. @9 U- z; D
Yo baby, are you trippin'?
1 z% @9 T/ y1 J: M. M! fMay I help you with something? I think I have met you somewhere before. 2 X: e- N& O2 ~' W
    Hey, hey, hey, what's going on?“what is going on?”就是年轻黑人打招呼的用语 (a form of greeting or open statement) 或 Hey, hey, hey, are you going to the movie?(帅哥,你是去看电影吗?) 9 W' S. F. i; U; ?, P% E9 h3 ^- X
9 f5 W, `- g# G1 M, _8 M0 O
5. She is a ho( K. N+ E! [% L1 }. q

(a girl or woman gives sex freely without charge),也就是说:She is very loose. 或 She is a loose woman (girl)。 T, f1 k
    They are (were) hos.
" P4 ^2 y& u: A; c, G    There are quite a few hos in high schools. (a girl or woman is paid for sex.)
) [. P& e- s1 u" p
7 Z% S" n; f7 {4 i) L6. Catch you later!5 P8 K1 o; {6 _5 ?1 r% o

(a form to say“good乡bye”) 也就是说:现在没有时间与你交谈,以後再谈吧!(I don't have time to talk with you now, but we can talk later.) catch 後面,也可用其他人称代名词(him, her, them 等)
, u$ V0 k( B% b5 P有时年轻小伙子也用:I am off. 意思就是:I am leaving now; I'll talk to you again. ; q$ Z; k( p5 V4 a( u1 o
