Over last decade, I have used many window upgrade companies. Here are some of my suggestions:
& e9 k( M4 J c3 o6 v5 c2 ` j3 ~- You really need triple-pane windows ,not only for the sound proof, but for the Edmonton winter. The price is not much differnt from double-pane but the performance almost doubled;, N- K' V' _; |* G# A' ^
- I have tried many brands of windows, Hometech, Economic Windows, All-Weather windows, Jeldwen (by Home Depot). The best would be Hometech. All-weather is also good but the price is too high lately. I just had one big bay-window by Economic Windows in this April. Looks great but don't know how good for the real winter.; N& @+ W G# @- r7 e5 R( E
- Stay away from craps like Durabuilt or Sunrise Windows. Cheap stuff.
