1. It's cool:cool
(可指人或事物)也就是 something good or acceptable;situation is under control;being calm, gentle, courteous or good-looking;meet teen's standard. @, N/ n

. n. |4 }0 X. E4 H" _& u7 \  That's cool;he is cool;this is cool./ U2 G) \- ^7 r$ f$ T2 T6 L# t# p
5 Y/ S/ Z0 M$ b- l7 g0 S. _) Q! {
  Skydiving (或surfing) is cool.(跳伞或冲浪运动很不错)% B# a% r8 S. }( W
5 ]. c0 u; }  I9 E+ f/ f5 h
  主词可用任何人称的单复数 (I, we, they 等),动词可用 verb to be 的任何时态 (is, was, were, will be, have been等)。
3 r. _9 C9 ~4 x5 ~& b/ e, _. ~
  She (He) was cool in the past.( O( G, H2 I9 m$ I. ?- o/ w
7 U+ l5 W+ n4 M: M' m  a3 ]/ r: J0 K
  That's a cool T-shirt.(好看的运动衫)6 R  U& P$ \( _& O% }  p8 B

% \: r1 `& K' a- L! c$ Q0 d  He (she) is a cool person.(文雅礼貌的人)
. U! a$ B% n' y# y/ q* D4 Q4 c: ^8 M. z, s
  但是如果说:Are you cool?
8 M8 M- j" g; |* B, I* G: w
/ U9 `- B( ?( Z- Y7 C% [* c( |* X  She looks as cool as a cucumber. 又是恭维语,是说她很 calm and charming; not
6 i" B0 Q- j+ e; U0 |5 F- `* Y) H% k4 i1 j% t  K$ A# v- @) X
  emotional.
% T# y3 b& e9 J/ ?1 e9 g+ j
. B* K) e' ^* {" X 2. Are you trippin'?:trippin' 这个字,是由动词 trip 演变而来。 这个字是现在分词当形容词用,是指行为异乎寻常,也许受到吸毒或喝酒的影响,而显得神魂颠倒、奇形怪状(to get high on drug such as LSD),也就是说:要不是受到药、酒的影响,你为什 显得这样古怪呢?(Are you under any influence of drug or alcoholic? Why are you so crazy and bizarre?)
4 [: J" d1 }; {
- ~  B8 R) n' ?- C  They are trippin'. (= tripping)
4 v. g- w; E" x/ K+ C( b
1 B+ o! b5 o& j  She (he) is trippin'.0 O+ s. d; K; `% Y0 A
$ [" j8 p; w2 f% u$ z
  Mr. A must be trippin'.
- `5 J" j; g1 L+ i3 I) D* c3 ]) ?4 H, G5 R/ y
' W5 ^+ Q6 p- `- a5 k7 z$ u3 u- U$ c9 s/ V% S' a
  3. He is a nerd:nerd (A person always buries his nose in books, but not good at social situations.) (IQ = Intelligence Quotient ; EQ = Emotional Quotient) nerd 可用复数,动词也能用其他时态。

( J% i& x- ]7 W4 Y; I  {/ h  He used to be a nerd in high school. (过去他在高中时是位书呆子)4 M  |: L2 V/ ~
/ {* x& P* X' E. F" n2 ]' ~
  Many Chinese students are(或 have been)considered nerds.! h0 R6 C; X3 {+ v1 R

F6 o% k" u% G& E: F% R3 o6 d$ V

; M" y! j, O: E+ L' W* T  f9 y  He is a computer geek. (意思是:虽然他是书呆子,但电脑很棒)9 B, W" j3 \! z. b" P2 P

" Y9 x" P% x4 N+ |
; e) z: v% ~( f  I don't like him because he is a jerk.* @4 q6 K2 m1 j: A5 ~" D
- t. E( P% u, |0 t0 V/ G7 t
  H" f* r7 _6 w
  Many jerks are working in our company.
& y( J# z+ V. k$ o1 L
; z+ u. q% Z$ p  主词也可以用其他人称,动词也可用其他时态:
* o5 K9 Y" f2 c/ K* O$ q
' _  S% X8 d0 V; Y  They are jerks; He was a jerk in the past; Mr. A has been jerk for years.3 J+ Z$ `9 B8 K4 i- \8 D
$ w( O* {4 }& g% N% I6 ]1 \
* b5 w8 P" J- B' U: y; H6 B$ f9 F1 P8 _9 A, U. L7 Q: |
(He thinks she is pretty and attractive, so he wants to speak to her.),也就是找话题,想要「打开话匣」。(to use as a form of opening line or pick-up line or to begin a greeting; try to know her or date her) 如果说:4 r' S* N: V5 }& E) \: S7 y, f' d

8 ~' v& O/ {& F) ^+ N: J- k6 H  Yo baby, are you trippin'?
- r6 [8 i% C' P

4 w: }/ E6 ]6 `  May I help you with something? I think I have met you somewhere before.1 J4 K9 S7 ]: E9 j' Y( ?

3 y7 l1 y2 N* @8 W/ ?
( }; X; ^: h4 `$ W( E
7 d8 @9 A9 H, P. w Hey, hey, hey, what's going on?“what is going on?”就是年轻黑人打招呼的用语 (a form of greeting or open statement) 或 Hey, hey, hey, are you going to the movie?(帅哥,你是去看电影吗?)
! h6 @- B. `6 z3 h& F) F& C& p! h" _3 q% a1 }# n& c; ~( F
  5. Catch you later! (a form to say“good乡bye”) 也就是说:现在没有时间与你交谈,以後再谈吧!(I don't have time to talk with you now, but we can talk later.) catch 後面,也可用其他人称代名词(him, her, them 等)
( v) x1 u' I2 H. i% I; v+ _
# a! h/ z5 C( {3 A, ^7 I8 @: ~  有时年轻小伙子也用:I am off. I am leaving now; I'll talk to you again.
8 j( s. o; _8 r) U0 t7 i- k! i7 m/ T: ]( `) v5 r7 Z- n
