Position:        Youth Leader
4 G- M: s. d4 o  Z3 b# M# IDuration of Commitment:Summer T.A.N.G. Youth Program
$ L9 Y6 p% [& ~" ~- ]! ]8 t, ~7 SCamp 1 – July 04 – July 14
! o( p3 l( T& M  DCamp 2 – July 31 – August 11 (must attend an overnight camp on August 10 to 11)
Time:0915 to 1600(Regular Program Time)
*might work in other time in some specific days
Place: ASSIST Community Services Centre

Duties:
To assist the T.A.N.G. Youth Program Coordinator by providing clerical and/or activities support in the followings:

! b9 b; L- g  {* Q' X Distribution of promotion flyers to schools, churches, communities and relevant social agencies and professionals
+ w8 ^% w" s0 c: |# S$ t Take attendance if available
, }1 ^$ F  w$ S- m1 A4 k# r Provide positive modelling to youth
 Facilitate or assist in ice-breaking games and/or other activities
$ k* J& p$ h  ^5 G0 t& r Facilitate or assist in small group discussions
 Research activities related to the session’s topic upon advice of the Program Coordinator
 Watch out on the safety of youth either in centre or fieldtrips
% ^& K: r; a9 ~. \* i Report to the Program Coordinator for any doubts or concerns and/or any troubleshoot behaviour
0 {! W- W- \% A" k9 r5 A& I; c Act according to the guidance or direction of the Program Coordinator
+ {6 T# V# R0 f! U$ x1 R$ J Must follow guidelines or procedures stipulated in the manual/training
* u) H4 ]" A% d( g9 I% K Attend debriefing sessions/ongoing training
5 _5 s& @0 h! r' u6 v! q; _( h Assist in program planning/design
 Any other program related tasks as assigned by the Program Coordinator

Attitude/Skills Requirements

 Mature, sensible, patient, organized, willing to take and follow instruction
 Be open and willing to initiate and maintain a positive relationship with youths in the program, or youth who is matched on an one-on-one basis
* R2 E& i7 }1 L  D8 t% ` A team player, can get along well with other staff & volunteers
& o# F( r# R+ G( e- W Concentrate efforts in the group session or activities over other distractions
% C% h9 C5 W4 o" q! ^( j Able to work independently with minimum supervision
 Value building on strengths in children, youth and families
 Able to get along with youth and/or youth who might at risk
7 V/ N3 Y3 I; L  @ Certain proficiency in English and Chinese
