The YOUCAN VERTO Project is a Government of Canada and Government of Albertafunded9 V/ f, C) u" a/ y& z
& b% _4 U$ f( F; C5 Q7 B9 fproject that will bring at-risk youth together into a unique 15 -week groupbased2 O* j7 P- o- g1 N
employability skills program entitled “The VERTO Project”.
8 a, y) T$ H' @The goal of the VERTO Program is to assist participants in obtaining and maintaining" z9 b! v7 x6 ?( W; ^, U
the skills necessary to bring success into their lives. Verto program will expose
: z3 p3 Q( `# Z! Uparticipants to a wide range of components focusing on: employment development,
Z0 L) Y4 M1 kpersonal wellness, technology learning, conflict resolution, and exposure courses./ ]) [, a7 J: S9 h
Additionally, we will incorporate topics around health and wellness, volunteerism," m% `5 q) \- W* C' t4 \$ y& E g! q
and leadership courses. Verto youth will be provided with a six-month employment2 I" H2 u1 M; r2 i5 K
follow-up once the program is completed.$ l. ~8 z' ^! L; ?% b
