& p! W7 R8 Q' c- S* [8 e! bYWCA Edmonton has an opportunity for a permanent Payroll Administrator position. The Payroll Administrator is responsible for the processing the YWCA payroll, accounts receivables, and other finance related duties. 9 P8 w+ s" a+ f4 j2 _
Job Responsibilities:% r6 T& O0 [. u/ ]( F: D

Payroll:
5 ?. x+ u" }7 W6 R3 u• Verify and process required documents when a new employee is hired+ m# e" {9 @3 i; Q
• Prepare and complete the twice monthly organization’s payroll* z% F$ s! |6 V9 V; O
• Ensure the maintenance of confidential up-to-date personnel records 2 c8 J) ^; k' s) q6 d
• Input benefit deductions into payroll. @5 ]7 Q% a; P8 Q( o( L
) H" _- ]- }) I2 a
Reporting duties:
9 Q" F8 R/ c5 K. E- X( T. S4 e• Prepare RSP contribution file and send to RSP provider
* a7 x% |' J9 P/ @8 S- p• Prepare New Hires report for Statistics Canada and upload it onto the Statistics Canada website
& H/ Y8 ]* F% k# i' ]• Reconcile payroll to T-4’s and T-4A’s and prepare and send T-4’s and T-4A’s
8 \; X! m7 K1 y- i; n' |# e7 t4 D• Reconcile Worker’s Compensation Board expense to payroll, and submit Worker’s Compensation Report to WCB authority
9 v$ A( n0 G; x4 \" B0 [) u2 z• Complete employee records of employment and salary confirmations

5 m6 Y* d1 F. }- G/ `Compliance:
0 E, g8 E4 z3 Z• Ensure compliance with Canada Revenue Agency’s regulations regarding payroll
; b3 b1 U, ? ^, s* j• Ensure compliance with Alberta Labour Standards and other provincial regulations regarding payroll.
. i" ?/ c) n. B4 z. J4 ?• Ensure procedures for safeguarding and releasing personal information comply with Freedom of Information and Privacy regulations, provincial privacy legislation and YWCA Edmonton Human Resources Policies6 N8 K7 K% G: J: d2 Z+ v2 O
• Act as information liaison between Worker’s Compensation Board and managers, and ensure compliance with Worker’s Compensation Board reporting

Accounts Receivable:
' ?5 j5 _* _& `% B9 q& J5 ]0 a• Complete data entry of all receipts, cash and direct deposit
+ P8 Y- w- m* v) B: A N. n- o ?• Note discrepancies between receipts and invoicing, and communicate discrepancies to appropriate department
% Y4 C: @4 x- U( x1 B+ \& r: {$ T• Conduct debit and credit adjustments up to a limit of $10.00 and ensure manager’s approval is required for adjustments/ K' f0 L2 z7 v% ]
• Prepare and complete miscellaneous third party billing
% H* p0 i! a- U% P; C& v, B4 _

. z# C G& n/ O* q/ H, z# O8 n2 ~) p. M; t& I7 J# t
• Post secondary education in computerized Accounting and Payroll Programs including working knowledge of Accpac ERP
5 C/ M- H7 h; t1 s/ [9 d• Completion or in process of completion for certification by the Canadian Payroll Association/ W+ @$ X/ h d9 \7 i
• Minimum 2 years experience in a payroll related position
?, x& o' O5 j' ^1 ?. {; n• Proven experience with word processing, databases, and spreadsheets using Microsoft Office8 b/ A9 m/ N0 D/ a0 K
• Detail oriented and demonstrated accuracy in work
