0 i4 E0 q) E# KYWCA Edmonton has an opportunity for a permanent Payroll Administrator position. The Payroll Administrator is responsible for the processing the YWCA payroll, accounts receivables, and other finance related duties.

Payroll:) s8 v* ~8 K. {
• Verify and process required documents when a new employee is hired0 m' ]( W# t' f4 r y4 C
• Prepare and complete the twice monthly organization’s payroll
2 a5 |, H( E- l U% s7 M• Ensure the maintenance of confidential up-to-date personnel records - M K' w! g) B- a+ X$ F! Y4 q3 m
• Input benefit deductions into payroll7 \$ ?' J5 y! ]3 L Y! z" ]# A0 ~
( H& n2 p# {( O# t7 X5 s, O: S5 @. x
Reporting duties:' y L: S5 u) ~" C7 ~% s
• Prepare RSP contribution file and send to RSP provider
+ {2 u: y2 M6 ^" g• Prepare New Hires report for Statistics Canada and upload it onto the Statistics Canada website
/ [/ t. s9 J! R# U• Reconcile payroll to T-4’s and T-4A’s and prepare and send T-4’s and T-4A’s
& ?% r9 `8 ?4 z( Q6 f• Reconcile Worker’s Compensation Board expense to payroll, and submit Worker’s Compensation Report to WCB authority% J/ V8 |7 D7 \) s2 o7 |9 b
• Complete employee records of employment and salary confirmations

' Q3 X2 ?7 u2 J$ J# G2 i- LCompliance:( y! J+ Y8 H/ w2 d4 @
• Ensure compliance with Canada Revenue Agency’s regulations regarding payroll : ]7 M5 Y* F; ~" c, k
• Ensure compliance with Alberta Labour Standards and other provincial regulations regarding payroll.
3 d) n' R/ [: M3 x- h6 Q3 i7 `• Ensure procedures for safeguarding and releasing personal information comply with Freedom of Information and Privacy regulations, provincial privacy legislation and YWCA Edmonton Human Resources Policies M9 r& `5 \2 Q7 J% M" S0 t
• Act as information liaison between Worker’s Compensation Board and managers, and ensure compliance with Worker’s Compensation Board reporting

Accounts Receivable:
( b0 P. C- x2 x; ?• Complete data entry of all receipts, cash and direct deposit" p$ }% x5 h: N m& _
• Note discrepancies between receipts and invoicing, and communicate discrepancies to appropriate department
+ I8 G* n6 _) {0 q• Conduct debit and credit adjustments up to a limit of $10.00 and ensure manager’s approval is required for adjustments4 v i/ |* _2 f& t" x
• Prepare and complete miscellaneous third party billing k' C7 D& U4 C0 B( @0 A1 e
! g- C ~/ s1 C9 S* i4 zQualifications:
+ \+ L& ^4 t9 _
! G4 D1 \! l; Z/ z& r) z6 _• Post secondary education in computerized Accounting and Payroll Programs including working knowledge of Accpac ERP9 T4 `5 i K9 I
• Completion or in process of completion for certification by the Canadian Payroll Association4 [ `9 {( p; d K
• Minimum 2 years experience in a payroll related position, ?3 o, o2 m1 i5 x- l
• Proven experience with word processing, databases, and spreadsheets using Microsoft Office' }: F2 P \; Q7 d" n5 W
• Detail oriented and demonstrated accuracy in work
" H! C& C' j+ }, r$ p! c• Establishes priorities, meets deadlines, and works well under pressure
