YWCA Edmonton has an opportunity for a permanent Payroll Administrator position. The Payroll Administrator is responsible for the processing the YWCA payroll, accounts receivables, and other finance related duties.

; j/ M5 E7 }6 R. p7 G. N4 KPayroll:, n- d. h% p. v7 z
• Verify and process required documents when a new employee is hired
6 ?$ g4 o7 a: u% D* [6 a/ b* s• Prepare and complete the twice monthly organization’s payroll
/ z/ j8 C% \! B1 p• Ensure the maintenance of confidential up-to-date personnel records
. t- G, ~$ ]9 j! r! i/ A" ~• Input benefit deductions into payroll

Reporting duties:6 a2 _6 q' f/ f: n
• Prepare RSP contribution file and send to RSP provider: S% @- ]6 k$ L% {) G! f
• Prepare New Hires report for Statistics Canada and upload it onto the Statistics Canada website
1 n+ {+ B7 U- T• Reconcile payroll to T-4’s and T-4A’s and prepare and send T-4’s and T-4A’s
- p/ m' G% G% T( U• Reconcile Worker’s Compensation Board expense to payroll, and submit Worker’s Compensation Report to WCB authority
8 v ]: r N4 U+ p• Complete employee records of employment and salary confirmations

• Ensure compliance with Canada Revenue Agency’s regulations regarding payroll
7 J& N- l1 \$ @5 a) |+ j• Ensure compliance with Alberta Labour Standards and other provincial regulations regarding payroll.
" l; M( T$ i5 w9 y( z• Ensure procedures for safeguarding and releasing personal information comply with Freedom of Information and Privacy regulations, provincial privacy legislation and YWCA Edmonton Human Resources Policies$ ]/ v7 H# ~$ z' j' g
• Act as information liaison between Worker’s Compensation Board and managers, and ensure compliance with Worker’s Compensation Board reporting' A8 W m% \, T U

Accounts Receivable:2 E9 j3 Q0 j0 w [' l; m+ H- e: R
• Complete data entry of all receipts, cash and direct deposit1 N" U2 I/ L6 x
• Note discrepancies between receipts and invoicing, and communicate discrepancies to appropriate department$ y, I- t9 {6 C! N' w5 l) c
• Conduct debit and credit adjustments up to a limit of $10.00 and ensure manager’s approval is required for adjustments* d3 C: k0 L6 V& a( K4 }
• Prepare and complete miscellaneous third party billing

- Q! ]) }" }' a J- B7 L• Post secondary education in computerized Accounting and Payroll Programs including working knowledge of Accpac ERP3 g4 y( m: w! s- W2 W8 Z) C
• Completion or in process of completion for certification by the Canadian Payroll Association
" s6 K5 }% N: r# O) I• Minimum 2 years experience in a payroll related position9 t5 p' T) Y, T; E0 k
• Proven experience with word processing, databases, and spreadsheets using Microsoft Office
2 z/ ?+ o$ @ _3 g( P% F# _* c• Detail oriented and demonstrated accuracy in work

• Knowledge and experience of cash handling procedures
