YWCA Edmonton has an opportunity for a permanent Payroll Administrator position. The Payroll Administrator is responsible for the processing the YWCA payroll, accounts receivables, and other finance related duties. 8 V; Q/ o# ?3 G2 c6 R! l, z

Payroll:
' A1 ~; |. i( g( w• Verify and process required documents when a new employee is hired+ z0 [3 @4 P7 Q2 x
• Prepare and complete the twice monthly organization’s payroll
9 g- P. i# i8 H: m• Ensure the maintenance of confidential up-to-date personnel records
P/ B9 q, [/ K, Y) l2 d• Input benefit deductions into payroll3 X/ B. V$ a5 P w& u; F9 p- i
' W' {8 {& i( |5 J! ?# _5 aReporting duties: C: s: T: _9 }- Z8 T
• Prepare RSP contribution file and send to RSP provider% I$ T/ _3 y) \0 Z
• Prepare New Hires report for Statistics Canada and upload it onto the Statistics Canada website
) ~6 u: a& t- J+ {/ V4 S• Reconcile payroll to T-4’s and T-4A’s and prepare and send T-4’s and T-4A’s
! D3 G) k/ ]1 k9 c6 K9 P+ q• Reconcile Worker’s Compensation Board expense to payroll, and submit Worker’s Compensation Report to WCB authority4 O* J: r3 l/ i7 v/ J0 o
• Complete employee records of employment and salary confirmations

Compliance:
( E3 E6 E8 x9 {& [. ]• Ensure compliance with Canada Revenue Agency’s regulations regarding payroll
. D8 @2 J5 C. \, g• Ensure compliance with Alberta Labour Standards and other provincial regulations regarding payroll.
) i/ e! z- g2 @/ J* l• Ensure procedures for safeguarding and releasing personal information comply with Freedom of Information and Privacy regulations, provincial privacy legislation and YWCA Edmonton Human Resources Policies
9 a& n# r6 N- v1 ]. f: R/ j! J( j1 ~• Act as information liaison between Worker’s Compensation Board and managers, and ensure compliance with Worker’s Compensation Board reporting

Accounts Receivable:: _! w3 q0 _6 ~$ s# d3 [
• Complete data entry of all receipts, cash and direct deposit
+ r" g" K8 U# S6 ~8 C: H+ \' Q• Note discrepancies between receipts and invoicing, and communicate discrepancies to appropriate department
/ ?% D8 e. K2 X. L1 i$ G+ {5 ^• Conduct debit and credit adjustments up to a limit of $10.00 and ensure manager’s approval is required for adjustments

• Post secondary education in computerized Accounting and Payroll Programs including working knowledge of Accpac ERP; s) P$ u; P6 o* y" {
• Completion or in process of completion for certification by the Canadian Payroll Association9 F* k2 z7 M$ j; x0 n3 K0 ?
• Minimum 2 years experience in a payroll related position
7 |3 Q% u Q5 a; d+ M• Proven experience with word processing, databases, and spreadsheets using Microsoft Office
