Position Summary: Within the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada, and Alberta Employment and Immigration, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker. Key Responsibilities:
' T- p4 c0 P: z7 p• Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person
* B' x9 f" _7 k' Z: F8 I) @• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST
1 _; t5 N b% c1 [• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately3 Y2 U- R4 R/ [2 b
• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter- H/ H2 n* b0 w0 [( [/ W: A
• Oversee the front counter when other front counter staff are on holiday or in trainings
$ c% S" f+ Z+ U• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents
0 Z. F; w$ r! b) l! |6 x• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker

• Assist the ISP team in reminding clients to appointments of workshops or other events

• Attend meeting and training to stay current on immigrant settlement matters; L8 Z0 ~. P3 T f, d" q" Z
• Maintain front counter service files

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:8 e! m' |, Q! }2 ~) ]* q- U- x2 A, z& h
• Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person
0 [' k$ ]5 K2 O& x' E4 e• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset s! @) w" a6 P8 P1 v
• Good English writing and oral communication skills

: ~7 w+ D, D$ J! l1 f7 a3 Q) i• Microsoft Office operation skills- Excel, Word, Outlook

Qualifications:5 g' R' h6 m0 X) x* U
• 2-4 years of office and clerical experience
6 y/ \4 z" V. @: o; M" ?( P: @• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment
% U5 `! s) n4 L' u @• Demonstrate workplace maturity and professionalism+ s8 v0 Q% Y% @4 N; w1 O! Q/ L% s) ~
• Ability to work well under minimal supervision
