Position Title: Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker

Position Summary: Within the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada, and Alberta Employment and Immigration, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker. ! v! t' M5 J d; U- U6 G% X

Key Responsibilities:5 i0 e' H( ], p/ \" Z% r
• Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person5 J) W8 r7 A5 I1 u9 _ i' v
• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST3 `* y4 @9 E7 W" }
• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately
6 _3 V. m# d9 i$ V• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter
) G9 Z0 \' f' K& O* j• Oversee the front counter when other front counter staff are on holiday or in trainings# M. E- d9 z, t
• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents- X# S I$ x# Y2 H
• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker. U( i7 g+ k4 ]4 @2 @! M- k
• Maintain and update the information boards with upcoming events
2 W4 X" [: ?7 i& @• Assist the ISP team in reminding clients to appointments of workshops or other events

7 G% o1 i7 j! {) q- z6 t• Attend meeting and training to stay current on immigrant settlement matters7 Q5 N# s/ L7 J" @. \
• Maintain front counter service files

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
& c4 }: i7 X x5 {7 f! |6 k0 P• Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person+ Z7 p7 u1 T# N% q I7 w
• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset
) D, ?; T" G+ T• Good English writing and oral communication skills
k, x: t* ?, y S# D4 M; v• Ability to work with newcomers and general clients* V7 s2 x- c- a9 p8 k/ F
• Microsoft Office operation skills- Excel, Word, Outlook1 i, g+ {7 E7 @1 S% [) e
• Ability to address multi-task and set priority appropriately

• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment
B Q5 k/ V6 N6 G• Demonstrate workplace maturity and professionalism# H( ]+ o: L& s' V
• Ability to work well under minimal supervision
