, ?9 F2 M9 j- ~3 F( |, b; L. @) IPosition Summary: Within the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada, and Alberta Employment and Immigration, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker.

• Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person
8 W2 t/ ~$ N1 X: P' x' c: E- }• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST
# ^) ]& K' B8 k, P• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately
/ ]2 v$ E7 ~% {1 K7 z% V9 i• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter
8 g+ [, B! |' B+ K• Oversee the front counter when other front counter staff are on holiday or in trainings, |# u0 b, h6 w) L% G
• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents* C$ s/ y% F p9 P2 E0 ^* ^! Z
• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker

• Assist the ISP team in reminding clients to appointments of workshops or other events3 s+ J( }; a8 F& K( A, S
• Keep the reception area tidy and clean
% t; @( {0 z" L7 z" t$ V/ E• Attend meeting and training to stay current on immigrant settlement matters

• Perform general office duties as assigned9 s9 j: M, q \; _6 A$ h; Q4 i
• Report to ISP Program Manager

; L) h: j: K7 l9 Y- t8 F* p• Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person
! ^! f% O( u, Z5 F6 R• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset2 j/ L# }# o! f# z
• Good English writing and oral communication skills+ Q" E, F- R% e7 E0 [
• Ability to work with newcomers and general clients( X' H- E ~; F* G: u
• Microsoft Office operation skills- Excel, Word, Outlook; C3 O l0 x4 ]7 S. e
• Ability to address multi-task and set priority appropriately ! C2 m+ P+ y* C( E7 j, w3 o4 L- B
• Sensitive to the needs of immigrants with multicultural backgrounds

Qualifications:
9 V6 s5 k7 v5 c• 2-4 years of office and clerical experience
" R) u/ W: V/ p9 Z; a# J( s& U. X# t• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment" F" R, R4 U: r0 l+ ~/ K
• Demonstrate workplace maturity and professionalism! j$ D3 `+ f* d- |' i
• Ability to work well under minimal supervision
