Position Title: Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker

& C2 e: C0 s, O' }1 |1 SPosition Summary: Within the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada, and Alberta Employment and Immigration, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker. 5 Z: S" [1 ^* }+ O& |: @# Q W/ [

• Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person
- D! c; C4 M3 J( `% t• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST
, ~+ k, s2 r4 h2 B• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately. x( B" I8 M& w
• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter6 a2 c* z$ ^5 M1 E9 Y
• Oversee the front counter when other front counter staff are on holiday or in trainings+ q! B$ g0 {! V8 E7 E
• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents; K/ `4 w2 a, d. x( R5 d4 n
• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker; a5 \) u9 A- V2 m. [
• Maintain and update the information boards with upcoming events$ { s( y! f9 e: a1 J0 X4 e
• Assist the ISP team in reminding clients to appointments of workshops or other events

• Attend meeting and training to stay current on immigrant settlement matters% i; C. l- ^1 L) U+ g. r T) ?% I
• Maintain front counter service files

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:2 y7 b2 c0 E# H# T {
• Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person' Q/ U: A$ h) Q3 V5 a
• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset
8 N+ L- x2 w1 j• Good English writing and oral communication skills
( J$ H- V7 q7 J$ I" Z; T$ u• Ability to work with newcomers and general clients

Qualifications:& E& L" z0 H$ g' ]6 w# y
• 2-4 years of office and clerical experience
) o/ G' B1 I- i! R5 S0 T; R* f• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment) D; C# B7 W/ ~( E( B" {. C
• Demonstrate workplace maturity and professionalism3 v& Z. d4 v( G) F0 W Q4 q3 \
• Ability to work well under minimal supervision; H# Z1 h. I F4 @
