Position Title: Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker# D, d! r+ j6 ^) r

3 S, J* F+ s" n* N+ B" iPosition Summary: Within the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada, and Alberta Employment and Immigration, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker.

" Q+ D" P# a i1 K9 t& u, ~• Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person
3 c( L: J6 J2 Y/ b• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST2 M& D1 A! S- T; k" J
• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately3 z( q3 x* ~. W
• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter$ s' ^% v' s: \( d. J6 B5 |% j. c! I
• Oversee the front counter when other front counter staff are on holiday or in trainings
3 e9 I, R6 {2 |• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents
; k2 K* }. S2 W# ?7 q8 }• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker

• Assist the ISP team in reminding clients to appointments of workshops or other events
; d8 @' Y/ s A7 r• Keep the reception area tidy and clean% U8 F, v( ~9 L
• Attend meeting and training to stay current on immigrant settlement matters! G' y7 `3 D6 z- o+ c" p
• Maintain front counter service files* P0 P' ~. k2 [1 u1 T) ~& _- C
• Perform general office duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:- D7 n4 V( h% o) l4 D0 d
• Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person! e( h( r5 H7 A1 P2 i0 q
• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset' w G' A' c8 O' I4 L. P
• Good English writing and oral communication skills
; h9 ^( Q) t2 c) n6 b• Ability to work with newcomers and general clients% `- W* o2 f" d6 K7 ?1 N4 ?# y
• Microsoft Office operation skills- Excel, Word, Outlook

• Sensitive to the needs of immigrants with multicultural backgrounds# J4 d1 A" x" b) ~% E
• Ability to work effectively in a fast paced office environment

, D# v% x) s! w6 w" ^4 x• 2-4 years of office and clerical experience
1 \' Q* ^3 \( V1 U• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment4 O0 A$ k% y$ K0 F, N4 [
• Demonstrate workplace maturity and professionalism
