Install and configure NetApp Data OnTap, HP EVA Storage Array hardware, HP Tape Backup products, CommVault Backup software, Legato NetWorker Backup software (Legacy) and various other appliances $ |# C0 d P3 u
7 I2 l8 w; k8 h2 {Working with other OSS team members to identify, plan, and configure Solaris, HPUX, Linux and Windows servers for integration into the Storage and Backup environment . d. T( [- g3 k" p' _2 @
: g8 I# i8 w& T& {2 O- ?- f( nManage applications that support the Storage and Backup infrastructure, including CommVault, Legato NetWorker, DPM, Quest, and other custom applications 0 ? A4 I W; h5 |( t
^+ n; g; d, @$ d: H) e' SImplement and support vendor and industry best practices and procedures for the storage and backup environments ' Y1 P; o, e0 g8 }

Provide recommendations and design strategies to improve the operation of the environment based on analysis, trending and forecasting 9 q) D7 @, i6 x9 n/ V2 Z j; U
5 Y3 r. q2 ]6 f1 a% gDesign and implement processes and procedures to improve the operation of the environment. : I. B+ ^ V7 Y( \
- y, ?+ A4 Q$ a' W" j; IWrite and maintain Perl / shell scripts for day to day administration and automation 2 Z# @6 F, @# b! K6 D, L
% ~" D& s) v7 \0 c( I" K5 LLiaising with IT customers to determine their requirements and ensure that business needs are effectively translated into solutions

& p; X. C. {% Y Qualifications
& K' z; x% F8 Q5 F* k A degree or diploma in Computing Science or Computer Engineering or a related Information Technology discipline ( Z; [ p0 y- D. J' A
" i9 B, z" j- R; u) rExcellent working knowledge of SAN topologies and technologies with a primary emphasis on NetApp data OnTap, HP EVA storage arrays and Brocade switches.Previous experience managing a SAN with the above technologies is mandatory

6 n% e% u% P+ F- X c" F4 XExcellent working knowledge of CommVault Simpana 8 or higher, Legato NetWorker backup software

Previous experience with administration of Solaris, HPUX, Linux, and/or Windows would be an asset

Excellent verbal and written communication skills with experience communicating effectively with various levels of management # U! s3 V2 n$ {2 C3 }9 o

A high level understanding of IT technical infrastructure requirements for large enterprise deployments

Thorough understanding of Information Technology business practices and processes, including ITIL

9 Z @8 c, e$ f( FExperience with the Microsoft Office suite of products, including Visio, is an asset / k' Z5 B% l& A

Valid driver's license with a clean drivers abstract / a$ Q- f0 L5 z0 d
