Scope and Purpose of Job
2 g) N: ~/ s; ^0 I* BEmployee would be responsible for handling all technical support for Lab Equipment systems (both hardware & software), to include lab testing & dyeing, dispensing, sample conditioning, and lighting cabinets. Work as the technical liaison with 3rd party suppliers. Work very closely with Product Manager on new product development for all laboratory equipment.& [/ V1 l6 G; h" H
Major Responsibilities and Accountabilities# C* `9 y1 J. u- n2 F
• Be the global primary contact for support for Lab Equipment Systems and liaise with 3rd party supplier on any issues.
( @% I m. g |, e3 c• Answering all technical questions concerning mechanical functions and software operations.7 p' B- {5 h# E" ^0 T. b
• Assist with troubleshooting ideas on technical and software problems
& e. b* t# V; Oo Test all new patch versions of software prior to release' l, E) y' Y9 B
• Assist where needed in application questions.
! I$ z% P4 j7 T3 f8 E' X1 M• Check all technical documentation for correctness prior to field distribution.# B. \2 M- L% E! ~. C4 Y$ ^7 k5 r
o New parts and replacement parts and installation procedures

o Make monthly report to Product Manager and 3rd party supplier.; E- ]! `5 d) D
o Recommend remedy to improve product quality and design.! x! n0 Q! G9 I) t$ o6 J2 K
• Assist Product Manager in all new product development plans for all Lab Equipment products. In some cases act as the Project Manager for new product development.' |6 |, J, F- {( m, r x+ c
o Run field Beta test sites and any new idea testing and make reports: G) |8 R N/ N2 J, o) a6 g2 ^# y
o Assist in information gather for any new product idea.

0 m* F# `2 i( Mo Point of expert contact for implementation of features/functions.
) S, b7 y0 R s0 Y& bo Act as technical applications expert on development team.

0 n" w$ d) f/ J6 ^& P• Responsible for any technical training needed for products, either given by the supplier or actually give the training in person. To use both Web-based and on-site training tools.. K6 o9 C7 l* X/ O
o In rare cases where no other solution exist to travel to customer site to solve technical issues.

5+ years working as technical specialist for textile laboratory equipment. Expereince with textile laboratory dispensers
; z8 ~% Q& X4 a% V0 Q4 h" KList of Skills/Qualifications
' r2 m& d7 \6 m3 t% T( j3 x+ s7 L6 r( g• Must have an extensive background in textile laboratory equipment uses and workflow process. Understanding of textile dyeing processes.

• Proficient in software use and writing.
