Wage: $24.02/hour, 40 hours per week

+ C+ E1 K. `3 d0 @0 ]Job Description:
4 V+ C& U. S2 h, G•        Review damage report and estimates of repair cost and plan work to be performed
( G( ^& F' {& Z* u" D•        Repair and replace front end components, body components, doors and frame and underbody components
# z# g2 i/ B% x) i; v0 q# g•        Hammer out dents, buckles and other defects using blocks and hammers
•        Operate soldering equipment or use plastic filler to fill holes, dents and seams
0 l+ B( P7 E2 Z  c9 V6 e3 r•        Remove damaged fenders, panels and grills using wrenches and cutting torch and bolt or weld replacement parts into place
/ j2 m+ {$ {3 d3 U7 K•        Straighten bent frames using frame and underbody pulling and anchoring equipment
•        File, grind and sand repaired body surfaces using hand and power tools
8 D7 T2 s$ f. N4 t•        Mask and tape auto body surfaces in preparation for painting
. y  `3 ^" `8 Y•        Mix paint, blend and match colors
•        Apply primers and repaint surfaces using brush or spray guns
•        Repair and replace glass components such as windshields, windows and sunroofs
•        Repair or replace interior components, such as seat frame assembly, carpets and floorboard insulation
6 L1 y' ~6 s6 l" G, n6 l•        Inspect repaired vehicles and test drive vehicles for proper handling
Education and Experience Requirements:
! \0 o1 O! A5 S0 S, U•        Completion of secondary school is required
•        Completion of a three- to four-year motor vehicle body repair apprenticeship program
or
A combination of over three years of work experience in the motor vehicle body repair trade
1 v; U' g& X1 E; c. ~( Y# f•        Alberta Trade certification for motor vehicle body repair (metal and paint) is compulsory
