4 V+ C& U. S2 h, G• Review damage report and estimates of repair cost and plan work to be performed
( G( ^& F' {& Z* u" D• Repair and replace front end components, body components, doors and frame and underbody components
# z# g2 i/ B% x) i; v0 q# g• Hammer out dents, buckles and other defects using blocks and hammers) h7 b( ~7 j3 u/ B6 m" K( w
• Operate soldering equipment or use plastic filler to fill holes, dents and seams
0 l+ B( P7 E2 Z c9 V6 e3 r• Remove damaged fenders, panels and grills using wrenches and cutting torch and bolt or weld replacement parts into place
/ j2 m+ {$ {3 d3 U7 K• Straighten bent frames using frame and underbody pulling and anchoring equipment- `' ^! @! l7 o7 P5 ?/ R \
• File, grind and sand repaired body surfaces using hand and power tools
8 D7 T2 s$ f. N4 t• Mask and tape auto body surfaces in preparation for painting
. y `3 ^" `8 Y• Mix paint, blend and match colors3 v% n6 f9 y% E! n. Q Y* `
• Apply primers and repaint surfaces using brush or spray guns, u6 y, x$ n) p: h6 g$ j
• Repair and replace glass components such as windshields, windows and sunroofs- C5 [& D: @% p; A
• Repair or replace interior components, such as seat frame assembly, carpets and floorboard insulation

Education and Experience Requirements:

• Completion of a three- to four-year motor vehicle body repair apprenticeship program 6 E' s) G$ }- q9 A0 [1 i& |1 v+ l
or: A$ x, {6 }* B. i' u) i! t
A combination of over three years of work experience in the motor vehicle body repair trade
1 v; U' g& X1 E; c. ~( Y# f• Alberta Trade certification for motor vehicle body repair (metal and paint) is compulsory * ^# U% ^' S% y0 P
