1 Z4 Q2 o( b7 n. v6 I7 {. g* m• Review damage report and estimates of repair cost and plan work to be performed
) A" v! I( A( N4 f" T L e' m9 }• Repair and replace front end components, body components, doors and frame and underbody components
9 E ?/ a7 ]0 ]( s7 o% u• Hammer out dents, buckles and other defects using blocks and hammers" T# i9 M1 D: S5 X q
• Operate soldering equipment or use plastic filler to fill holes, dents and seams" y& t2 W/ K( o; w0 K
• Remove damaged fenders, panels and grills using wrenches and cutting torch and bolt or weld replacement parts into place
a+ G& m, G1 s, D6 I• Straighten bent frames using frame and underbody pulling and anchoring equipment# _% J# G8 z& x" }. w4 r$ B7 Q# Y
• File, grind and sand repaired body surfaces using hand and power tools5 H' c# ^/ _2 W( b3 _
• Mask and tape auto body surfaces in preparation for painting

• Repair and replace glass components such as windshields, windows and sunroofs+ B/ ^8 \% }& B6 B
• Repair or replace interior components, such as seat frame assembly, carpets and floorboard insulation

• Completion of a three- to four-year motor vehicle body repair apprenticeship program

A combination of over three years of work experience in the motor vehicle body repair trade : d3 z) v# E. O6 X4 U) T+ B8 R" x8 h$ K
• Alberta Trade certification for motor vehicle body repair (metal and paint) is compulsory
