Position Title: Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker
7 g0 f t( V& s. z" PHours of Work: Part-time (21 hours per week)

Position Summary:
* B+ N2 w' R4 N5 x4 NWithin the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada and Alberta Human Services, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker.

• Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person
# Y9 c# b$ m6 Z3 c' @" z% I$ x• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST
+ d! p& W6 J& S2 ]. y2 c7 O; a• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately
" X. J, Q, d1 ^; Y2 E• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter
# J; q" S: a0 Z4 g• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents
& k4 W1 s4 G/ q• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker
+ b, B# o; d! M+ D! }• Maintain and update the information boards with upcoming events' m/ e4 a. O5 o+ p E0 K* P M
• Assist the ISP team in reminding clients to appointments of workshops or other events: Y2 o* ?) [8 u# r, K: `
• Keep the reception area tidy and clean
* @0 Y2 L1 Q- u- E' w+ x1 B& t• Attend meeting and training to stay current on immigrant settlement matters

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
, Z' C$ ?# S9 j• Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person' \( E5 H0 f+ _+ b2 \
• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset
* I0 |2 J& Q# @/ K, o• Good English writing and oral communication skills1 ]6 C9 y7 Z3 \2 B+ ^3 d2 K/ P
• Ability to work with newcomers and general clients3 b3 e% I, G9 L* F
• Microsoft Office operation skills- Excel, Word, Outlook

• Sensitive to the needs of immigrants with multicultural backgrounds; }) @) C; W5 A* i7 B1 L) h, A& J" j
• Ability to work effectively in a fast paced office environment6 ]$ j+ _2 M, v
• Knowledge of immigrant services# x* B% e- U) O1 _3 P3 R

O0 ~+ p- k1 w9 Y7 ?• 2-4 years of office and clerical experience
" ~0 }$ ?2 |7 I+ }! ]3 s; i9 Y• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment$ X1 `! n) n9 a
• Demonstrate workplace maturity and professionalism) `3 m2 A6 O6 Y: w: r
• Ability to work well under minimal supervision
