Position Title: Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker

Position Summary: ! p* C- A R$ Z7 Q3 N) t8 D( C( q
Within the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada and Alberta Human Services, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker.

• Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person
+ m) s' Q; m# M0 W# J9 X( v• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST8 \5 p2 w7 S2 z( B& ~/ `4 y" f3 e
• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately5 }3 k2 q$ p3 k: M/ W
• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter4 B( r. I% V( o" G, G) ~+ T- s+ c0 W
• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents
6 s! d- q* T' e$ R• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker- n% B E3 I8 \: E/ b% u x" ?) K0 z
• Maintain and update the information boards with upcoming events

• Keep the reception area tidy and clean8 e- H* D. b4 v0 e* R3 x
• Attend meeting and training to stay current on immigrant settlement matters

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
. C7 {& ^& \4 H. `( g9 }0 x• Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person) ~% M+ L& b% \# X6 X3 T
• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset2 }5 E* Q4 ]8 j8 S
• Good English writing and oral communication skills( I& M1 \; m* X9 b
• Ability to work with newcomers and general clients
& ^- Z, ?, o; @• Microsoft Office operation skills- Excel, Word, Outlook

• 2-4 years of office and clerical experience 3 z2 R/ j7 T6 n: P
• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment
