Hours of Work: Part-time (21 hours per week)

Within the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada and Alberta Human Services, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker. $ i( }% ?3 b" T$ i8 r+ y• Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person
( N: S+ g3 _ Q' ~' t• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST' Y3 A% h' }0 R$ [
• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately, _& C+ V+ p; P5 t
• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter
7 T5 T. t0 I* _3 H• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents& C6 ]4 Z" }5 v
• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker! ?3 g [- z3 [
• Maintain and update the information boards with upcoming events+ X F5 K1 F( l' O5 p t
• Assist the ISP team in reminding clients to appointments of workshops or other events

+ `7 d' `" \4 B* W0 {$ h. M8 ~• Attend meeting and training to stay current on immigrant settlement matters

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
: Y/ O: q) @1 V# f! u* d7 z• Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person8 r! X4 N8 Y6 A7 T
• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset
; `. F c) P9 g0 p• Good English writing and oral communication skills* |# E% z. a& R* e
• Ability to work with newcomers and general clients
! v& A* H( m& x3 W4 P& w• Microsoft Office operation skills- Excel, Word, Outlook' t& E! v& V- J4 R, @4 x
• Ability to address multi-task and set priority appropriately $ A: ]0 \5 a4 O4 \: p
• Sensitive to the needs of immigrants with multicultural backgrounds

• Knowledge of immigrant services

• 2-4 years of office and clerical experience
* V% b4 ~8 j" Q: W9 h+ o• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment* l% A. f2 A9 ], V% E, o
• Demonstrate workplace maturity and professionalism
