Job Description
0 |1 }: X7 B- e" P( V* k7 R: {Position Title:  Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker. @4 H' ~, Z7 }# }7 Y: r
Hours of Work: Part-time (21 hours per week)

Position Summary: 6 |# i3 z/ t. o5 ^& |# O4 r$ z
Within the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada and Alberta Human Services, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker. 5 ?$ k2 T$ f+ z* u  \

Key Responsibilities:- L. q9 r6 z( |" H" {" P
•        Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person
7 I" }) M0 z/ K$ e. [, f•        Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST; a8 J$ w' I1 g* e; N  G% |
•        Welcome clients and direct them appropriately
, `9 f# }; y) u  N•        Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter
  b0 i7 l+ {- G+ l4 ?•        Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents3 h. o0 }2 j! w2 n
•        Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker
% k+ q# B/ [4 n$ o; ]5 X•        Maintain and update the information boards with upcoming events
  y+ \7 A/ M# C) g0 b; w•        Assist the ISP team in reminding clients to appointments of workshops or other events
+ f0 ]3 ?, O  D! W" a•        Keep the reception area tidy and clean
0 m* C* h1 i* Z) B  B•        Attend meeting and training to stay current on immigrant settlement matters
4 r. `2 s3 K5 H) e2 H•        Maintain front counter service files1 [6 _/ R: _1 @9 e7 r
•        Perform general office duties as assigned+ i; h/ |3 C! ^  K
•        Report to ISP Program Manager

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
" K3 N" @0 P) Q. f% h! i•        Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person% h9 L7 C1 ?3 I! o: U9 r0 w$ g
•        Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset$ s' j( X; l" n4 d4 o% Z
•        Good English writing and oral communication skills5 C8 ~/ I1 ^7 Y4 P- S% j( ]( L
•        Ability to work with newcomers and general clients7 I2 @: J+ t$ y! p
•        Microsoft Office operation skills- Excel, Word, Outlook: k# m( t% e* `) Y$ v3 J
•        Ability to address multi-task and set priority appropriately " s# f/ h/ r/ H' T6 u
•        Sensitive to the needs of immigrants with multicultural backgrounds  {: }. @8 T4 \+ b
•        Ability to work effectively in a fast paced office environment+ c8 m/ w) f0 q3 o" a$ F
•        Knowledge of immigrant services

) m1 A" e6 x; M$ l  b# jQualifications:
9 e$ O7 l4 p/ N•        2-4 years of office and clerical experience 3 Y# z. }# i, S! H' v: c! @
•        Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment
1 j& u# D: d2 }* S•        Demonstrate workplace maturity and professionalism
. H* R3 P  `; X" p•        Ability to work well under minimal supervision
