Position Title: Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker

Position Summary:
- ?$ E& }& P' G FWithin the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada and Alberta Human Services, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker. : n* s* Q- V$ v: E2 {# r* }) U

Key Responsibilities:" W1 h0 c% R9 R4 f, |, I$ Y, {5 Z
• Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person
$ K+ a6 H# P& {+ u8 D• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST
1 R: A, o( D2 D• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately5 y( N0 e+ A' k: ?7 {) @6 @' j( T
• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter$ i6 O8 O0 d* n# n) c
• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents
5 g- o( Y. d9 B: m& m3 P/ Z• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker
! L% q, l6 v0 f• Maintain and update the information boards with upcoming events
" J; j8 C0 n0 g• Assist the ISP team in reminding clients to appointments of workshops or other events
( M& d) o% T2 c! D) _5 u• Keep the reception area tidy and clean
$ r! n2 ]3 I; u9 k2 d• Attend meeting and training to stay current on immigrant settlement matters

• Perform general office duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
0 ^1 q9 T O5 q• Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person0 g" I8 r; o0 E, A
• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset4 x4 h! ^, B; h- l: _8 Q) n
• Good English writing and oral communication skills& D: \! H- x. Z" t* k0 I- B
• Ability to work with newcomers and general clients# \. @( ~) b4 |3 X6 c3 ~2 x6 b! k1 c
• Microsoft Office operation skills- Excel, Word, Outlook
6 C8 h; p' A4 c1 r3 m9 ~6 j• Ability to address multi-task and set priority appropriately

• Knowledge of immigrant services

Qualifications:
. L% P3 Q5 r0 d% H$ L( [6 d• 2-4 years of office and clerical experience
9 L% R5 H V) x( o• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment* y+ p$ A+ X& n! J9 P$ S( i
• Demonstrate workplace maturity and professionalism/ t. d9 j! }5 I4 Q
• Ability to work well under minimal supervision) H- U" u# m+ u0 N( O
