Position Title:  Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker
  u" N$ R5 ~6 bHours of Work: Part-time (21 hours per week)

Position Summary:
, z4 r3 [- T0 f# {- {+ b: vWithin the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada and Alberta Human Services, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker. + u, s2 `; I$ `  y1 U- D4 f. w9 G, x( v

Key Responsibilities:8 Q- Q# J4 d/ t, n* p3 G$ j
•        Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person, o( \; |8 P  p* V* N
•        Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST$ P  Y- `* ]7 B+ m( F* }' b8 _, O& S
•        Welcome clients and direct them appropriately
+ {7 \1 `( r" P! g8 ^•        Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter
. _1 W4 i8 A0 ?  V# g2 ?" E' S& b•        Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents
9 \, D+ f, L. w+ j8 V4 r- y, }5 ]•        Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker3 U6 E3 J/ K+ q+ v) h' i+ m
•        Maintain and update the information boards with upcoming events
9 c9 m- ~% u1 Z, x- u- t% v1 h•        Assist the ISP team in reminding clients to appointments of workshops or other events5 g6 v' |$ [2 b& y4 l
•        Keep the reception area tidy and clean4 A5 ]( B) }% b
•        Attend meeting and training to stay current on immigrant settlement matters
0 f- `; N' a0 h+ T7 ~+ ]•        Maintain front counter service files
  ]  n9 Z9 Z* p•        Perform general office duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:  L- I2 k1 w7 j1 G0 _! P% _
•        Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person: h; S. ^5 n: g
•        Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset
! z& I8 M1 |- j* n•        Good English writing and oral communication skills
: C+ p0 {. r4 ~1 g' r& X4 @' Q•        Ability to work with newcomers and general clients
5 G, A' x1 S0 V8 V•        Microsoft Office operation skills- Excel, Word, Outlook8 \/ H- W0 J6 y( J( |6 Z
•        Ability to address multi-task and set priority appropriately
: n5 i: l2 q8 @0 s; E+ Y: o•        Sensitive to the needs of immigrants with multicultural backgrounds+ }( Z6 t2 w, l* v: b8 f/ |* P$ e
•        Ability to work effectively in a fast paced office environment4 w3 y5 @: ^" z; t3 ?
•        Knowledge of immigrant services: u1 }3 \/ E) l
$ p& `/ U" B8 Q3 z, C8 i. H/ A% g- f  V
Qualifications:
  [1 f6 G7 A3 h; C- U•        2-4 years of office and clerical experience
, T7 @" N/ b! G6 J. v•        Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment& M5 H( b) ?. a+ U; Q& ^8 [
•        Demonstrate workplace maturity and professionalism. ?# t& ^1 ?& ~1 H2 Y7 }
•        Ability to work well under minimal supervision9 X1 N! w# [% e& _9 a" T
