Position Summary:
5 B: L( v# M5 p: _5 xWithin the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada and Alberta Human Services, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker.

Key Responsibilities:
, d# Y$ h# i" o% t• Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person
2 x3 O+ I2 u* Z3 X4 i4 e• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST" \, Z, T" `* H, } F; r
• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately
! o. C% \7 ^" _1 U! z• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter
9 q# ~" \9 a- k; q5 i. O• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents
+ G- j: B2 _6 J1 A/ o) N9 P( l• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker
5 j$ m' O* p# X+ T• Maintain and update the information boards with upcoming events- j1 i/ c2 S, f& n! Z9 l
• Assist the ISP team in reminding clients to appointments of workshops or other events2 c# h& G- T+ L4 W! m! w8 s
• Keep the reception area tidy and clean1 @- m+ k1 `5 ~0 ~6 H6 a
• Attend meeting and training to stay current on immigrant settlement matters5 M1 N. j, X @, Z1 K. C c
• Maintain front counter service files/ }3 R- S3 V5 B D
• Perform general office duties as assigned# g7 A4 i9 j: d6 _3 Q' c
• Report to ISP Program Manager

• Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person/ F$ Q$ ?' v- M& b* ]
• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset

• Ability to work with newcomers and general clients, }3 C6 j! x& ] M7 j3 N% }$ B6 _& w" u) J
• Microsoft Office operation skills- Excel, Word, Outlook, f7 c4 ~% ?: }; X
• Ability to address multi-task and set priority appropriately

Qualifications:
- v- c- d: Y6 T, I; N• 2-4 years of office and clerical experience
, r' b0 ]; n _& L! P- x• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment
1 x+ q8 u" b+ S# y% R; p& E• Demonstrate workplace maturity and professionalism
1 G! y8 V5 m: V• Ability to work well under minimal supervision
