What is the criteria for reporting a traffic accident? Can I phone it in?/ T1 M5 f2 E! q
Effective August 1, 2002, Saskatchewan motorists will only have to report motor vehicle collisions to police if the collision involves:% A5 u& H8 I: @( ~
1) Any bodily injury or death; `$ a" o/ K( D5 S' L: W
2) A Hit-and-Run;
8 g( G& B. w) m5 |- D5 J/ n" s3) A driver impaired by alcohol or drugs;/ N3 v: C/ F# g# X; l$ T' X- p
4) A motor vehicle towed from the scene;
5 b& d$ q) n3 d; Z1 P6 C5) An out-of-province vehicle.

Normally, police would be dispatched to the collisions described above. One exception may be an owner's discovery that his/her vehicle has been damaged in a hit-and-run, but the vehicle can still be safely driven to Police Headquarters.
