what kind of lens is good for nikon d90?

My dad bought a nikon d90 with 18-200 lens.
Now he doesn't like it.
what kind of lens is good for Nikon D90 for entry level?

泥坑的18-200 好像还不错的， 我记得放风儿用的就是这个镜头。  出的片子与那些上千块钱的镜头出的片子基本看不出区别的说 。。。

: j# {6 l; c: [( C0 ^* G如果要上好镜头， 就上那些泥坑金圈头吧， 大三元一定没错。 (16-35 F2。8，  24-70 F2。8  和 70-200 F2。8)。

D90的理论完美套头是16-85 VR....

- i4 r4 h$ R/ [0 rback to the topic, nikon 18-200 is generally a good lens. if you want better image quality, the best option is to try some prime lenses. feel free to go to some local retailers such as black's, don's photo, mcbain camera, etc. and try the lens you want.
- f" S# e# z$ m2 k# j3 Q8 gpersonally i have used a lot nikon cameras and lenses, and i would say there are several lenses that can make you fall in love with your camera immediately:
! l) ^' q* ^( h3 t1. AF-S Nikkor 35mm f/1.8G DX
& o. b" l0 f6 y. [2. AF Nikkor 50mm f/1.8D, or AF-S Nikkor 50mm f/1.8G
3. AF Nikkor 85mm f/1.8D, or AF-S Nikkor 85mm f/1.8G
, _, H+ [( u  @9 V. O- g# W! x4. AF-S Nikkor 70-200mm f/2.8G IF ED VR-II

' g, j+ |5 ]/ O" @& w7 FNo1 is a general fast lens for indoor use(good at low light) and general portrait;
No2 is a general lens. for D90, 35mm 1.8G is a better choice than 50mm lenses.
No3 is for portraits. it produces creamy blurred background while keeping your subject sharp.
' k0 ~: ]+ c% BNo4 is a telephoto zoom with large aperture. it is good at anything that needs more zoom, such as feature portraits, indoor sports, shows, ceremonies, etc. a must have for any pro or semi-pro.

+ V1 P' |1 O, {7 O1 I" ]老弟说的对，兄弟是顺口了。。。  泥坑的金广角是17-35， 这个我其实是知道的，早在刚入门的时候就研究透彻了， 而且还曾经把玩过温哥华大佬的金广角。。。 可发帖子时，想也没想就把16-35给敲上了， 这属于对佳能的器材爱之深切的表现啊 ~

理解，嘿嘿。我听到IS, EF-S, 光圈先决，评价测光等等词汇的时候，脑子也要翻译一次。尼康倒也有16-35 f/4 VR，这头最神奇的就是有防抖。窃以为尼康16-35有防抖，以及佳能5D MkII有自动档属于牛机牛镜里面的顶级奇葩。

So he want a change.
