Hours of Work: 17.5 hours per week

- community development, liaison with mainstream agencies to provide services for Chinese community
. x& C5 R, z# u/ x/ e! n; T3 X- workshops, seminars, activities that give Chinese population access to mainstream services
: B( ^7 h2 H. b( W L- fulfill needs that are not met in Chinese community in terms of social services
7 J1 D' F, } j5 w- develop good working relationships with mainstream and ethnic agencies
( D5 [0 s* i8 M$ U% K& N6 R# M- coordinate good will activities
1 c! Q; J2 O/ s* a- coordinate and send out quarterly newsletter to members
5 U" i2 u$ x5 a: l0 l. o- submit information for community news
! N5 j" k) V3 ?7 B- prepare and send AGM information to members
& ?$ n! y4 r/ o- assist in special events coordinating: Open House, AGM, Volunteer Appreciation, etc./ C. N, ^; B; U* E( |- g# F
- participate in ISP department and agency meetings/activities+ A2 X5 e( ]3 g3 c$ x c. g! l+ s) m
- demonstrate team spirit in achieving vision and objectives of Centre
; \8 b) j* }/ k3 p- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to immigrant services) A& ] w* C7 o+ o! K( Z: ~, ]6 k }
- assist in writing proposal for ISP: |$ @4 ^: P9 g+ O( Q- ]! L7 t+ d; J
- write quarterly and final reports for ISP

- hold regular meetings with ISP team
& F: p, k1 R7 ^$ z* l8 `- assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as prescribed from time to time

- coordinate good will activities

Qualifications
2 {. A3 w, X* Z- degree in social/human sciences with 1 year of relevant experience or equivalent of experience and education 5 j" s" G4 ~9 ^2 }8 P/ {) R
- good oral and written Chinese and English skills( X- H( `' B: t) `& [ |$ M
- experience in community work and immigrant services
1 W9 y. m$ ~8 m" W9 `. G8 N- ability to coordinate workshops and seminars
& Q& t* f/ W( x R( @, h0 m* W- leadership skills" H3 W* N, O$ N$ @# h# X4 j
- exceptional communication, interpersonal skills. ^5 y6 s, `# E* Z) n/ g" R( r
- sense of humor
