- provide volunteers to update membership database) s7 X$ A, c: n# u
- recruiting, performing security and reference checks, providing orientation, supervising, referring and placing volunteers
6 [% C" A$ e w9 [- train volunteers for ISP and provide duties
# v' n/ ]3 R+ _$ J- train volunteers for Centre and provide duties9 D- ?* c5 a- A) ?: h( o6 V
- provide volunteers for various programs 8 e9 i, x7 ?' x' x9 r& W
- coordinate, update Volunteer Manual6 ?# m- N; o8 K4 [. I/ h1 w. C$ P/ Y
- planning and coordinating Volunteer Appreciation
$ P' I" m, G) V, B S- participate in ISP department and agency meetings/activities
% M! e1 @# j x$ H- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to volunteer services; ^# l$ ~. E0 C+ }" E6 S9 Y' U
- assist in writing ISP proposals and reports+ t, e7 s8 q) K6 V6 r
- provide volunteers for Centre activities as needed
/ D& o& t- d5 f- assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as needed
. |# v' _$ C* b+ y! j- work flexible hours (including evenings, weekends as required)
" U9 i2 R' W$ m' s& n# v- promoting volunteerism through various media including the 3 main Chinese newspapers, Chinese radio station and the Chinese television, Fairchild TV, brochures, pamphlets, booth displays, special events

7 M9 t# e* i+ {/ a8 e* Z( d' J2 O- planning and implementing training sessions for volunteers ( N! D; C3 M, d( W) t5 Z
- planning and implementing training sessions for staff that work with volunteers
( A5 _1 f; E! c: g3 l c4 l- C6 j- consulting and reporting to the Advisory Committee on a regular basis ( X( R, J. ]5 t8 d6 {$ |. j. K
- evaluations ) w3 W0 m& ^% B) Q% ^- Q0 ]
- demonstrate team spirit in achieving vision and objectives of Centre# m+ L( h8 w2 t _! W; l

& ~9 v- R8 w6 A: V" H- degree or diploma in Social Work, Sociology, Community Services, Human Services or related experience and education+ D& m+ b# V, f& _$ S. j, s- H) K
- good oral and written Chinese and English skills+ ]2 y( m9 Z- C/ f% L
- experience in volunteer coordinating and immigrant services
