Key Responsibilities

" F7 {9 k. u5 t, N6 V7 Y- provide volunteers to update membership database/ S1 @' c2 K+ ?/ z1 k; k
- recruiting, performing security and reference checks, providing orientation, supervising, referring and placing volunteers |7 G; P( s* F5 Y
- train volunteers for ISP and provide duties
# y0 C1 X1 g/ W- R F- train volunteers for Centre and provide duties% V$ H% g; U9 r% K0 A- x& r6 d
- provide volunteers for various programs 4 F! m9 c( D$ c( K6 x* n; h
- coordinate, update Volunteer Manual
" {( ^* |/ M; p6 l6 V7 V- planning and coordinating Volunteer Appreciation
" z/ B: A# G; {. `- participate in ISP department and agency meetings/activities
: a! M7 ?4 c( {* p' G: }- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to volunteer services$ q6 Q7 J0 o. v- @2 y
- assist in writing ISP proposals and reports Q4 S( {$ d8 r# C( `7 l8 |
- provide volunteers for Centre activities as needed

- promoting volunteerism through various media including the 3 main Chinese newspapers, Chinese radio station and the Chinese television, Fairchild TV, brochures, pamphlets, booth displays, special events
8 u; N) J" i( n% H) { |- development and distribution of a volunteer manual 4 X$ {) ^" D) y) i
- planning and implementing training sessions for volunteers / R% {8 c) ^( \% R
- planning and implementing training sessions for staff that work with volunteers 9 z' [2 ]! p+ y1 b0 D, y* a
- consulting and reporting to the Advisory Committee on a regular basis

3 W1 V& {& x+ t0 A! |5 d7 b- degree or diploma in Social Work, Sociology, Community Services, Human Services or related experience and education
$ [+ @* E) V7 P7 q- good oral and written Chinese and English skills
# c! d& q. D4 e: q$ K/ u- experience in volunteer coordinating and immigrant services
$ I4 R5 Z P" |& T- leadership skills9 j$ b+ K9 G; K v, h
- management and supervision skills
- e A5 T4 K0 W7 E- exceptional communication, interpersonal skills+ O% @4 m! k6 R6 a2 P
