怎么发air，pair，pear的元音？

中国人的教程里，把它当成双元音，但是在老外的教程里找不到，可见，他们不把它当成单独的双元音，可能当成单独的两个元音。但是我听着，觉得第一个元音比／e／的舌位要高。大家怎么看待这个音的？

Thanks for your confirmation. Sometimes I am not sure if I catch English sounds precisely, so I would like to check with folks here. I know some of them are very good at it.
