Career Edge Organization is currently looking for help to fill a great internship opportunity for a Letter of Credit Officer with Scotiabank located in Calgary.

•        Several years of practical experience in Trade Finance activities

•        Thorough and complete knowledge of the Uniform Customs and Practice for Documentary Credits, the Bills of Exchange Act, INCOTERMS, world shipping practices, and Canadian / Foreign customs
) n, ]8 C! I; y) D5 G* _) c
  s" Y+ o5 p2 n•        Strong knowledge of statutory requirements, International Law and Customs relating to Letters of Credit and Bank policy as high level transactional support to customers is required

•        Capable of applying knowledge in accurately assessing / mitigating transaction and compliance risks and making judgemental decisions on problem transactions

. y3 e/ J/ }; l•        Comfortable working in an environment involving significant risk exposure to the Bank.

Internationally qualified professionals who:

•        have at least 3 years of international work experience in their field
0 B0 X2 R1 W2 F( ^2 V& B•        have little or no career related Canadian work experience
•        have been in Canada for less than 3 years
