A male wearing a balaclava and carrying a handgun was spotted by a pedestrian walking in the area of Falconer Road and Riverbend Road at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday. ' c8 o% ^9 Z( I% u% o$ D% k" l. W* m
Police arrested the man later in the afternoon at the Terwillegar Recreation Centre, after receiving a tip from a resident. % [+ X! n8 `3 p0 l1 A 7 Z# h' G9 B5 q1 o1 ^$ |A search of the man's home turned up a BB pistol and balaclava matching the description given by witnesses. A man wearing a balaclava and holding a handgun was seen in the area on two previous occasions — the first at 4 p.m. last Friday near the Snow Valley ski hill parking lot and on Saturday on the Terwillegar Drive footbridge. : S0 ]3 C' i7 i K& Q, J
