K+ BPosition Summary: Within the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada, and Alberta Employment and Immigration, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker.

8 O; r# z( M& v& z1 S• Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person4 @! d/ i6 U' {% `! K5 p
• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST( ~1 E- b3 z" \9 V
• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately
+ a$ E& o% L: V; [* b• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter: f4 c' K3 l" g7 Z: H7 P% f
• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents
* F$ [5 p+ G2 X! ^' N• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker% Q* C+ I, X5 F* {9 N& r
• Maintain and update the information boards with upcoming events5 g7 g f, }( z- |8 T9 h6 m
• Assist the ISP team in reminding clients to appointments of workshops or other events

, {9 b. A# h& t& ^8 C& Z, m• Attend meeting and training to stay current on immigrant settlement matters

• Ability to work with newcomers and general clients1 @9 T( K0 d5 |7 T/ W7 ?" a$ S
• Microsoft Office operation skills- Excel, Word, Outlook1 W1 Q6 o$ o9 Z$ ]" z7 o

• Sensitive to the needs of immigrants with multicultural backgrounds

• 2-4 years of office and clerical experience
; X, ~* c) R0 P: d. p, q+ `1 L• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment; a# e: G7 b7 h3 i) Q: L
• Demonstrate workplace maturity and professionalism/ H! i. }& p, j) I6 e. S6 D+ l
• Ability to work well under minimal supervision
