Position Title: Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker

9 j: Z: A M! i* o& N& HPosition Summary: Within the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada, and Alberta Employment and Immigration, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker. . ^1 ^9 B6 x# R+ R( k6 W4 B

) A$ D- P4 l8 ]; `. W. I+ M• Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person
% Q" x8 V" k: T6 ]9 H1 [' _; W• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST
$ [; q4 F; Z0 C' @% Z' G0 ^• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately
, f+ H# `, N* l2 ~7 J, S c* A• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter
) ]; A" M+ j. L: z8 x0 r2 s* f• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents
9 s5 Y$ {. S8 P) {• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker

• Assist the ISP team in reminding clients to appointments of workshops or other events- @3 b% f& V/ {" g, y5 m& f
• Keep the reception area tidy and clean
; ~: U+ Y" ] e6 G• Attend meeting and training to stay current on immigrant settlement matters

& Z" K$ @% f& W0 d7 H• Perform general office duties as assigned

• Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person
8 w; z- t# L. u3 y+ k• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset

• Ability to work with newcomers and general clients* X7 Z1 M( K: x! @# ]$ s+ l
• Microsoft Office operation skills- Excel, Word, Outlook

• Sensitive to the needs of immigrants with multicultural backgrounds

Qualifications:, u5 J' r& G8 `
• 2-4 years of office and clerical experience / t9 z' V; Z& a
• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment
, p% G7 G0 F, A7 D• Demonstrate workplace maturity and professionalism: s( c/ c* Y' t/ r( D$ B
• Ability to work well under minimal supervision
