9 Q% X6 P8 a9 \( M' lPosition Summary: Within the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada, and Alberta Employment and Immigration, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker.

" J, L+ a4 [7 }• Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person Q$ T: _! L/ a
• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST
2 z3 S! @( s! I ?• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately1 t( z) ]) V/ D; w& h$ r
• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter
. A: Q! D. c3 I" j0 C• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents ?5 H/ Q/ L( f+ u2 {! D& z
• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker5 c5 ^4 T4 m4 p/ V
• Maintain and update the information boards with upcoming events' Y* B4 g, r2 B' v- o/ C
• Assist the ISP team in reminding clients to appointments of workshops or other events

• Perform general office duties as assigned

• Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person
0 P9 z! y' N) ~/ s- p4 g% l• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset
4 s' x; h0 |8 J5 X• Good English writing and oral communication skills& o: W9 s6 F" R8 l" |
• Ability to work with newcomers and general clients# j, B: ]2 v C
• Microsoft Office operation skills- Excel, Word, Outlook* ]! @) @3 Q4 j
• Ability to address multi-task and set priority appropriately ) y4 c# p& g f+ x6 E8 o
• Sensitive to the needs of immigrants with multicultural backgrounds6 P4 r$ J' R; b: f$ S% v0 ^( i/ Q/ Q
• Ability to work effectively in a fast paced office environment7 K! X b' J* c5 d9 D
• Knowledge of immigrant services% M# n, S0 f& P1 q

• 2-4 years of office and clerical experience
+ _# l% |1 ~. i, z, E. {• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment
2 }9 K6 H& j. T4 \% S& h' u• Demonstrate workplace maturity and professionalism
4 o- q* D) Z3 h7 _• Ability to work well under minimal supervision
