Position Title: Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker

4 q& J9 `2 {( P1 [8 @Position Summary: Within the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada, and Alberta Employment and Immigration, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker. ! m0 R- J8 b7 F

Key Responsibilities:
3 h" h) D- l) `, `0 Q/ y• Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person
$ l/ k5 L. W X2 F• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST
, J' K Z" B, E5 m• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately+ S+ M* i1 g: r# @2 r
• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter
; l" ?% M8 l) m, w$ C2 l2 F$ a( \• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents
! E! D: b- {9 l• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker
" \9 K1 c3 f7 ?7 m+ F• Maintain and update the information boards with upcoming events
! G4 Y p- Z) N3 k5 }9 R• Assist the ISP team in reminding clients to appointments of workshops or other events/ b# V# h4 p' o* t% o" o
• Keep the reception area tidy and clean

• Maintain front counter service files

• Report to ISP Program Manager

• Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person+ y4 T, q7 b# o/ D! @. k; o- E
• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset
5 P: }) o) i! v2 O$ m$ ~) Z, n7 C• Good English writing and oral communication skills/ {# N3 y8 k9 o8 ]
• Ability to work with newcomers and general clients
6 Y+ y% F3 D% e T• Microsoft Office operation skills- Excel, Word, Outlook

• Ability to work effectively in a fast paced office environment

5 Z! i5 [ G: _4 `Qualifications:$ k- h& I/ m. [' l" y3 Y. }
• 2-4 years of office and clerical experience
3 ?% x. T5 S: V$ V; U6 O• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment; _8 U s. @( P
• Demonstrate workplace maturity and professionalism
. [. E( S7 P8 ^4 {• Ability to work well under minimal supervision
