7 \ w6 T _0 ]/ x w. yPosition Summary: Within the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada, and Alberta Employment and Immigration, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker. + N; w( X) Y: J2 u, W, ?

• Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person" b: l6 h* D" f7 |' g( \* ?4 \
• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST7 n0 ^+ x- D1 t, m; X
• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately3 @2 N! k# M/ b- e
• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter
; u1 c; U/ P# G* A- k( R# m$ ?• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents
& H8 m' h9 y0 }! O9 F* \5 a• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker
& o2 `6 l7 x7 w/ l+ ~• Maintain and update the information boards with upcoming events1 _ X: \/ C5 o( E2 C9 k% R
• Assist the ISP team in reminding clients to appointments of workshops or other events4 j8 P/ @3 }/ b7 {7 y7 }( m8 q
• Keep the reception area tidy and clean
* m4 X+ s; J; f9 z+ D• Attend meeting and training to stay current on immigrant settlement matters

• Perform general office duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:/ p8 G3 |* B5 t% K
• Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person3 v6 b: o& J, {) ]! ?( L; ?: i
• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset
3 J1 v+ {2 ~- T! y• Good English writing and oral communication skills1 b c/ E: {4 N& K+ \4 C
• Ability to work with newcomers and general clients
: z* m) @ t U& W, U• Microsoft Office operation skills- Excel, Word, Outlook/ m5 ^7 s+ m2 M! k
• Ability to address multi-task and set priority appropriately , I h+ E% }2 ]- ?2 J* e+ \1 i5 i
• Sensitive to the needs of immigrants with multicultural backgrounds" ^* `" ^, M8 J+ w! e. y/ @

Qualifications:2 g' B% x+ f* K8 C o7 V# k
• 2-4 years of office and clerical experience & w7 L% z& G0 S, S
• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment1 C! C+ j+ \. u# f; x# b+ l
• Demonstrate workplace maturity and professionalism
# M2 q, I, |% c% K; m" A# A: _5 }, F• Ability to work well under minimal supervision
