Location: The job is based in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan, however frequent travel to project sites in various provinces of Canada is required.

- Connect piping systems to water mains, supply tanks, pumps, compressors and control equipment
" g3 j& N- j* J- Z0 _% n- Read and interpret drawings, blueprints and specifications furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form to determine layout requirements3 r9 Q+ r" [0 f3 H% W
- Cut openings for pipe in walls, floors and ceilings using hand or power tools or machines
' U- G; Z$ f) W' `7 c/ \' C; l- Select type and size of pipe required
7 s# B/ f* @- N! K% a$ H- Measure, cut, thread and bend pipe to required shape using hand and power tools
' G- F) {8 \, Z! l0 u! w- y- Weld, braze, cement, solder and thread joints to join pipes and fabricate sections of piping system x) \( `( a7 u: D
- Install supports, valves, piping and control systems
0 P( u0 Q8 B% V" x D- Test system for leaks using testing equipment4 t2 T6 N8 L: J v3 h0 J% b7 c
- Clean and maintain pipe units and fittings and flush system6 }) L4 d, o+ R5 X% z! f2 W/ Q
- Remove and replace worn components and reactivate system

Required Qualifications
" d: Y/ I2 C6 p8 h- X& H
) ? t1 G6 h2 U3 l8 c( Q3 Q2 [- Completion of secondary school. G2 B0 p& |6 P+ T$ u: n( h# F
- Completion of formal Apprenticeship Program of four- to five-years or a combination of over five years of work experience in the trade and some high school, college or industry courses in pipefitting system installation ' d4 V- ]0 X+ [' b% t% q9 O* C$ u! }
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
) B& G9 c" p" I. w9 U. r- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
& [7 W( ?& l) l6 t; J7 ]- Pipefitter trade certification is considered an asset# i9 G# Z# ]% y1 p
- Safety tickets are considered an asset: j1 u; k6 Z5 O7 }/ ]9 ?
- Valid drivers’ license is an asset
