Job Responsibilities
/ y1 s" ~1 M2 x4 f4 L7 y•        To minimize the costs of operation in the Front Office Department while maximizing revenues." V* V6 S" x4 N- _, B
•        Oversee hotel security requirements.
0 m# f+ w( @/ F•        To recruit, train and develop Front Office personnel and provide direction, support, mentor and motivate as necessary.  A3 y" l8 O, A. q
•        To maintain or exceed the established standards of operation. / b& D8 [0 z' ]! y2 ~/ t
•        To ensure the assets of the Front Office Department are maintained and controlled in accordance with the standards and objectives of the Hotel.
) L  c. G/ u0 M0 G' D: Z$ n•        To communicate effectively with other Departments Heads to levels of business and type of business.- Z+ n( X2 r. \8 P
•        To ensure positive closure to any negative situation. Handling and resolving guest complaints and unwanted guests.- x6 W' {; s3 L  I4 E/ B( e
•        Be able to work all shifts including night audit when business levels are warranted. I.e. working weekends, covering sick leave.
; f* i4 B6 e, i•        Weekly scheduling of the front desk staff. - i6 q* ~. p5 o  e* c+ d+ }. b. G
•        Manage rates on a daily basis for short and long term. & @' K8 G* \9 W0 \) k
•        Perform 3 month and one year evaluations and/or when needed.
. y: p+ v  B$ l' E* Y+ K/ B•        Leading and coaching to provide exceptional guest service. 9 s! W  b8 n" n
•        Ensuring the safety and well being of our guests and co-workers by having working knowledge of crisis and emergency procedures and that all front desk staff are also aware.+ R4 v" x" e- i; b: ~* V
•        Attend Cluster meetings. + r7 Q9 A! ?  h' s# P3 W( |5 `4 W
•        Complete month end report, ROB, Cluster calendar, tracking, forecasting, source of business and any other revenue related report.6 d3 j% S, h9 i1 G+ X
•        Handle PMS computer problems in each department
) E/ U( Z: V+ @- D) Z•        Handle any issue with the 4 different interfaces : PBX call accounting, PBX messages, voice mail and movies$ k# _- h2 ?" }0 K7 [5 u
•        Handle any issues dealing with high speed internet in guest rooms or business center: N9 v) [/ z; W' \6 X
•        Maintaining front desk floats, and FOM float

! c0 o; O  o& c3 X0 {& T•1-2 year of Management/ Supervisory experience in a Limited Service Property or Full Service Property, J6 a  W5 k, m; L) j+ d" N
• Ability to deal with all levels of management, staff and businesses in a professional manner;
7 {. x2 Y- T* i$ T' o" I) [% a• Ability to lead and develop;
) q2 @% L  \% v- |. Q9 @, o• Background in the development & execution of business and operating budgets;- |  A8 |/ F+ W" J# c* a
• Excellent oral & written communication skills; Strong organizational skills and be detailed orientated;
  N% R( \$ E6 U" r6 s; P• Ability to work within deadlines;
7 X/ g# o* T! N' I• High level of creativity and innovation;
7 V4 C) c, |1 [• Proven ability to manage multi-tasked assignments;
% A9 Z; L  }4 Q! f• Strong interpersonal skills and a working knowledge of ACT, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.! c' W- A9 a) Z4 k3 g
