The College's Objects as follows under The Ontario College of Trades and Apprenticeship Act, 2009:

2. To regulate the practice of trades.

2 E, l7 Y% T8 Z L+ n14. To work with other governments in Canada and the Minister with respect to the interprovincial standards program for apprenticeship and with respect to qualifications required for trades.
