Overall function of this position is to develop the East Asian customer base of the company. The purpose of the Business Development Rep is to drive new business in his/her territory, while maintaining profitable sales

Key Responsibilities:
$ J* V' Q- y4 m2 }$ o" `. x: i
• To initiate, follow up on and negotiate opportunities with potential customers for the intended purpose of ‘signing’ them as new business. This is measured through in-store customer sales. 

M: ~0 q# {2 a2 n. ]4 z• To develop the customer base through cultivating leads & opportunities and be able to convert these into regular customers.

+ I c( m: V: z• To be accountable via daily sales call reporting in real time, measured against territory growth (non-tobacco store sales) vs. the previous year.

• To execute focused selling in a large territory targeting the food-service industry, maintenance calling on high volume KEY customers in foodservice, convenience stores, small businesses, clubs & organizations.

• To execute the division’s promotional and marketing programs in conjunction with the overall business plan. Accountability via customer buying activity during the period measured through store sales./ L) X2 u# D/ L9 V9 w' H& C2 m

• To manage all aspects of customer inquiries leading to regular store visits, including initial store tours.

• To develop customer relationships with gold level customer base and industry organizations.

/ @: F8 ?) N7 S& i" z• To build extensive product knowledge over various categories and be capable of driving sales in achieving sales & profit targets.

Job Qualifications5 {8 `4 J$ M" i$ l1 ~* U
• Ability to speak English and Cantonese or Mandarin 

! c8 G* q1 z+ \3 N- s$ f/ `• Proven experience meeting aggressive sales targets.
* S8 T" ]& P( D& j4 d
• Minimum of 5 years of sales experience.

3 Z! s. P# T9 X& ]) a; s% f& j% {2 s• East Asian Food Service and/or Wholesale sales experience is desirable.

{' [- ~% m6 B% n; g$ q• Superior communication, interpersonal and relationship building skills.5 a5 R; M2 m- Y8 u

• Travel within the assigned region.

• Comfortable using automated selling technology in a daily setting – Salesforce.com
