Alberta's Orientation program is now confirmed. In addition, we would

(MUGs) Program; you have been signed-up for the 2006-2007 school year. By
6 k9 i' S0 Q Hattending both Orientation and MUGs, you will receive a great deal of
' G: n0 n9 F# u0 r9 hinformation that will make your transition to the University community
( k) K# ]6 @/ g8 _! Zmore successful.

If you are unfamiliar with campus you can visit 9 U \- }: W$ a/ e8 E( ^
www.campusmap.ualberta.ca to find your check in location. However, don't worry about having
% ^5 v$ P% `) T$ |( ^: a! cto find your check in location all by yourself, there will be hundreds + }2 F2 \8 l C% G- E5 c7 l8 ^# Z+ s
of volunteers ready to help you when you get to campus. Specifically 0 v* ?; ]; z6 o! ^' N+ O9 r& i0 \: F9 O
look for the volunteers in bright colored t-shirts, as they have a wealth 9 I' s. F" d8 @. F; f
of directional information.# {8 f5 c& B0 l$ P) Z
E* i# e8 ]/ K! a: a0 mBoth days run on a similar schedule, from 9:30am to 6pm, with evening
5 R. I0 x1 W+ G" Oactivities planned for both days. Throughout the 2 days you will attend : C: K# t* T. ~, a) E% j0 i
a variety of sessions crucial to your success at the U of A. On Tuesday
+ @2 H8 A& \9 Y {6 K! `evening we host our highlight event, the President's Address, in
b/ ^5 q' S: W% PHawrelak Park.

/ h( D6 Q" b) `8 L) G5 ^You will also meet your MUG Leader and the rest of your MUG group on , I) m2 H9 R" Z+ T( ~8 J' U7 S
September 4th, with whom you will spend the two days at Orientation 2006,
* G; C! B! V4 `and then continue to meet with for the entire year.
) ^. W% U! |* r+ [ R* D) C. f' G8 D' R4 U0 ?) [
Both MUGs and Orientation 2006 will provide many opportunities for you ! M' U- i' Y; m, Q7 v& e
to get all of your questions answered and to meet other students from 6 T: V6 i3 |& A
your faculty. Among other things, you are scheduled to receive your : P' C9 U& m: s4 c' E2 U
ONECard on one of the two days of Orientation 2006. To be able to process
% m# w C+ z6 x, [your ONECard, you will need to bring your acceptance letter and a piece
4 ~0 O: H8 w$ R* s. ], O, ?9 ]of government-issued photo ID. You will also need to bring your Campus ; H, E: H7 _& V( x" L! Y
Computing ID (CCID), which was sent by e-mail from AICT (Academic " E: p- L) O( N. ~
Information and Communications Technologies). Dress for the weather and ! u6 Y5 e* h+ `
bring either money or food for up to four meals (lunch and dinner for the
% F( o" n9 |; [two days of Orientation).% [4 s& B8 ~# i+ ^8 |- J3 A
