Orientation 2006: The Action Starts Here! Your registration in the University of

- m: n4 ^& _* S% b- b! u& u, \; \4 e3 S(MUGs) Program; you have been signed-up for the 2006-2007 school year. By 7 \8 ~/ G7 j$ C% I2 z+ n; P- S( T
attending both Orientation and MUGs, you will receive a great deal of

more successful.

Orientation 2006 will be held on Monday, September 4th and Tuesday,

to find your check in location all by yourself, there will be hundreds 1 m5 Q) H8 d1 p, ^/ x) @
of volunteers ready to help you when you get to campus. Specifically 1 { W0 c5 `$ A. }, s
look for the volunteers in bright colored t-shirts, as they have a wealth " Q- ^5 s3 h# i* O* G$ h( f- K( z; C
of directional information.6 i P% z: S+ D( L5 B8 [. K

Both days run on a similar schedule, from 9:30am to 6pm, with evening
/ E$ y' e* c, g6 A0 k% aactivities planned for both days. Throughout the 2 days you will attend - s* f t3 d/ W8 @# z# ^
a variety of sessions crucial to your success at the U of A. On Tuesday
3 F7 O% c+ P! r7 C# m7 c4 ]4 jevening we host our highlight event, the President's Address, in

3 p$ n0 T8 y% a5 {You will also meet your MUG Leader and the rest of your MUG group on ! p3 b; c! Z* l# x4 c
September 4th, with whom you will spend the two days at Orientation 2006,
/ J2 s4 }0 O* q. g fand then continue to meet with for the entire year.

Both MUGs and Orientation 2006 will provide many opportunities for you / x) `; T) l& U) v- Z
to get all of your questions answered and to meet other students from ( g/ V( x: e3 d2 Y! z1 ^- X- }
your faculty. Among other things, you are scheduled to receive your
" w6 f9 o5 B; m+ ?2 ~$ EONECard on one of the two days of Orientation 2006. To be able to process
! E5 i) p* j: Q" ` ^3 j; U2 oyour ONECard, you will need to bring your acceptance letter and a piece
* Z' M/ _( x5 f# a. z$ Pof government-issued photo ID. You will also need to bring your Campus
& c3 m* G \+ a5 AComputing ID (CCID), which was sent by e-mail from AICT (Academic
8 L8 J7 `+ r5 | A {) NInformation and Communications Technologies). Dress for the weather and
+ X, u' j4 [, pbring either money or food for up to four meals (lunch and dinner for the
