: \2 v& ~/ d* X& t7 y- f(MUGs) Program; you have been signed-up for the 2006-2007 school year. By
9 A V/ G/ n$ c' C! J- d* iattending both Orientation and MUGs, you will receive a great deal of
' I: ^3 z) U8 d( i5 Ainformation that will make your transition to the University community : J& W0 L4 Z! N/ h l7 a5 k

Orientation 2006 will be held on Monday, September 4th and Tuesday,

to find your check in location all by yourself, there will be hundreds
- X2 n/ t+ C) t, m# Rof volunteers ready to help you when you get to campus. Specifically $ w6 p2 }' Q# F- q, s: R
look for the volunteers in bright colored t-shirts, as they have a wealth 8 d1 S- q3 P9 d* v5 n& s! n

Both days run on a similar schedule, from 9:30am to 6pm, with evening ; X# U) J* b6 |: ?
activities planned for both days. Throughout the 2 days you will attend
% _3 ]7 a, Z( E6 w; q) Oa variety of sessions crucial to your success at the U of A. On Tuesday % n4 ?+ j9 d: A1 i! @/ d
evening we host our highlight event, the President's Address, in * s( A2 L! `$ T; ?& w
Hawrelak Park.+ `2 C, w& C5 j% ~# ^+ G' x! ?
6 y( H( \, I- U! e/ d pYou will also meet your MUG Leader and the rest of your MUG group on . Y/ N! i& `1 M5 d7 e4 k
September 4th, with whom you will spend the two days at Orientation 2006,
0 Q4 l7 i5 B% E: Hand then continue to meet with for the entire year.5 @! C- O3 h7 _; [/ V+ I" _
$ b! n1 A& O& ]' v' i# B% XBoth MUGs and Orientation 2006 will provide many opportunities for you ) e" M$ x1 U0 \5 n X1 j( r" v9 j' V
to get all of your questions answered and to meet other students from
0 b, I8 e$ I# s; z' `your faculty. Among other things, you are scheduled to receive your
7 m# O1 Z u7 f' V6 lONECard on one of the two days of Orientation 2006. To be able to process - q9 y" n0 T9 p1 H6 c
your ONECard, you will need to bring your acceptance letter and a piece
7 U& p+ Y6 m. A, `of government-issued photo ID. You will also need to bring your Campus + U5 h) D6 f, e4 S8 o9 ~
Computing ID (CCID), which was sent by e-mail from AICT (Academic
" E0 N- b+ s1 W) }Information and Communications Technologies). Dress for the weather and % @+ d2 c( w! U
bring either money or food for up to four meals (lunch and dinner for the
& ]7 q) G1 g! X0 i( Xtwo days of Orientation).
