(a) drive a motor vehicle on a highway unless the motor

(b) have a motor vehicle on a highway unless the motor* l7 d+ [* V9 U7 ?" g: r
vehicle is an insured motor vehicle;

responsibility card or a copy of it

(1)(a) or (b) to drive or have on a highway a motor vehicle that is

Subsection (1)(a) and (b) do not apply to a person to whom a4 e8 C! _) |5 U' s0 | h
financial responsibility card has been issued pursuant to the

by an insurer who has issued an owner’s policy

A person, other than a corporation, who contravenes subsection! `( ^# q: n) ^) E0 X# _
(1) or section 52(1)(h) or 167(8) is liable,
' y4 k* P* E# I: R(a) for the first contravention, to a fine of not less than $2500) V3 _6 ^ @+ ~/ Y* @, E
and not more than $10 000 and in default of payment to
' s0 i" l' N- v, p- P( s. nimprisonment for a term of not less than 45 days and not
5 h# f3 K+ I( |- [more than 6 months
3 A; L0 _7 F1 M- s/ S1 \8 ]Minimum $2500, if you don't pay, you will go to jail for a minimum of 45 days. |
