(a) drive a motor vehicle on a highway unless the motor& {0 L& V$ b) s; k9 }
vehicle is an insured motor vehicle;

permit another person

(ii) to have the motor vehicle on a highway,

to a person not entitled to have that financial

without the expressed or implied consent of the registered owner of

(1)(a) or (b) to drive or have on a highway a motor vehicle that is y/ V. h4 B! \: i% Q+ S8 Z

If the registration of a motor vehicle is suspended under this

1 ^! o7 G5 x. p+ H% i% ^' X& GSubsection (1)(a) and (b) do not apply to a person to whom a5 y( C; m F$ L `: @% v
financial responsibility card has been issued pursuant to the
9 z" p; ?& D) J8 h' k: _, @8 \* bInsurance Act
2 D3 K8 K" @* K" B- Jby an insurer who has issued an owner’s policy( N$ W* I6 R$ @) \
outside Alberta.* n4 h( X3 y' M' p" y* U
(4)/ @9 E+ G/ v6 r" \6 p) j. D- k: H
A person, other than a corporation, who contravenes subsection
f/ {# v5 d5 @6 \ k(1) or section 52(1)(h) or 167(8) is liable,
- V6 N. e; \! T(a) for the first contravention, to a fine of not less than $2500" A& b( a% T: A
and not more than $10 000 and in default of payment to2 i; F. Y' c4 o- c
imprisonment for a term of not less than 45 days and not& i8 N& K3 y8 G9 a3 V4 ~
more than 6 months

Minimum $2500, if you don't pay, you will go to jail for a minimum of 45 days. |
