Newcomers are being offered some help when shopping for a home in Edmonton’s tight housing market.
' m; M1 H. @; M- i zImmigrant women and their families can now access a “household toolkit” crafted by a local service group for new immigrant families, through real estate agents.

# }1 u+ m8 i- TIn the tool kit are 75 common hand tools – like a hammer and screwdriver – as well a book on how to buy a home, a home maintenance schedule and other items.

# v2 {2 P9 a2 j9 g( C“The tools are a symbol of hope for people trying to build new lives in Edmonton,” said Madeline Sarafinchan, president of the Edmonton Real Estate Board.
