Immigrant women and their families can now access a “household toolkit” crafted by a local service group for new immigrant families, through real estate agents. " y; k; z# T' b6 x' x+ ^
! B$ m) P( i( e8 F- p6 DIn the tool kit are 75 common hand tools – like a hammer and screwdriver – as well a book on how to buy a home, a home maintenance schedule and other items. * H) W' [1 ?& Z3 e; @
! Z' p0 S, _$ B& D“The tools are a symbol of hope for people trying to build new lives in Edmonton,” said Madeline Sarafinchan, president of the Edmonton Real Estate Board.

The program was announced by a group called Changing Together… A Centre for Immigrant Women.
