open all faucets in the house including showers to drain all water out in the pipe line; # `: Q4 A9 Y* a2 e5 |; LClose the cold water valve to the water tank if you have one; 8 X2 i, c! v, g+ tShut down the hot water tank by closing the temperature switch to off;& M$ P/ l6 D. k3 i' v" Q
Open the drain valve at the bottom to drain all the water out;% _. K, ?( E {

The humidifier is even simpler. The drain hose is supposed to have water go thorough the humidifier filter inside the housing and then goes to drain when furnace is on." }* O6 `9 W& n& t( }0 B
