Canada North Camps Inc. (14238 – 134 Avenue, Edmonton, AB T5L 5V8) is looking to hire a full-time Cook who could be responsible for preparing and serving a wide variety of food items while maintaining a clean and safe work environment adding to an all-around pleasant dining experience for our customers.
Duties:
* q" G0 X* Z: W% g; P! c/ @' B( A" c- Prepare sandwiches, salad bar and other high quality meals
' A6 o. {- g+ u- Supervise kitchen staff
- Ensure kitchen staff follow company safety practices
- Plan menus, estimate food costs, order supplies
4 g& c2 W: o/ F+ {+ C- Manage kitchen operations
- Maintain acceptable levels of food production
- Work night shifts, as necessary
Requirements:
0 s$ r8 L. Q& k/ a- Completion of college or other program in cooking is mandatory. Associate or Bachelor’s degree in restaurant / hospitality/ culinary arts is considered an asset.
- Minimum 2 years of previous experience as Cook in a fast-paced environment is mandatory.
- Good proficiency in English.
- Highly organized.
& F& s0 D4 j; Z/ S+ e9 dThis is a contract, full-time position.
Working hours: 10 hours per day, 70 hours per week.
Working schedule: 21 days on and 7 days off.
. N' ~+ M% K) ^% D% USalary: $160.00 per day. After 3 months of employment, medical, dental, disability and pension plan benefits will be available.
