Ottawa is going to apologize and give millions to former Guantanamo Bay prisoner Omar Khadr, according to multiple reports.

Khadr — who pleaded guilty to killing a U.S. soldier when he was 15, under interrogation that was later deemed "oppressive" — will receive a settlement of more than $10 million, according to unnamed sources who spoke to The Associated Press, The Toronto Star and The Globe and Mail.

The Star said Khadr will get more than $10 million, but less than the $20 million he sought in a civil suit. Other reports said he will receive about $10 million.

The government and Khadr's lawyers negotiated the deal last month, according to AP.

The Canadian-born Khadr was 15 when he was captured by U.S. troops following a firefight at a suspected al-Qaeda compound in Afghanistan that resulted in the death of an U.S. special forces medic, Sgt. Christopher Speer.
Khadr, who was suspected of throwing the grenade that killed Speer, was taken to Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, and ultimately charged with war crimes by a military commission

一个参加恐怖活动，杀害盟军士兵的恐怖分子被关进监狱是百分之百的正确，如果有死刑，这个恐怖分子应该执行死刑。如果是错误的，加拿大还花巨资派兵去阿富汗反什么恐呢？这个加拿大自由党政府混蛋混的头昏了，自相矛盾。

一楼说的很清楚了，赔的是“过分严厉”的钱，而不是他杀了人还奖励，别搞错了。他战场上杀人已经受惩罚了，关在监狱里，不是正常的监狱。
退一步说，战场上打仗做俘虏没有还要服刑的说法吧，如果开枪把对方打死的话，还要按刑事罪进监狱？就是看不惯老美说他把谁谁打死了。那不是战场么？
恐怖分子的帽子是挺打的，被扣住就完了
我觉得加拿大政府表明了态度
至于具体赔多少应该是有据可依的，否则咋算出来的

1: It's Omar's parents that put him into that situation, so it's his parents' fault, not Canada's fault.
2: It's USA that put him into prison, doesn't matter it's right or wrong, it's not Canada's business; beside, he committed criminal and terrorist activity which he admitted and deserved the punishment.
3:As a guy of 16 years of age, not a child anymore, he should have developed his ideology system already by that time; there should be no excuse for what he did.
4:Even if it's Canada government's fault, the officials that were dealing with Omar's affair should take responsibility and be blamed and punished, not for Canadian tax payers to take the shit.
5:Even if there was something wrong for putting him into USA prison, Canada government should sue USA government, rather than pay him out at the cost of tax payers.

他没参与具体的恐怖活动吧，那就是战场喽，战场也算恐怖活动？
牛x就是当时一枪把他打死，不是已经知道他扔手榴弹了么，那还客气啥。既然守战场的rules，不是守对付恐袭的rules，那就只好按正常的来呗
