U of A professor and his wife charged in alleged sexual assault of minor) }" C; h. v* n% y

$ D0 m% g. K8 Z- l# @; C- x4 _Wang is facing charges of sexual contact with a minor, and sexual assault – for reported incidents dating back to between Nov. 1, 2009 and May 31, 2010.5 l, k7 ~, o$ D/ L5 j
3 M! h3 A! o2 _2 [Chen is facing a charge of unlawful confinement of a child for alleged offences from May 31, 2010 to Jan. 29, 2013.) T6 J3 L8 Z- o

8 H; F* J; N& o2 h! H0 n) f- CThe University of Alberta issued a statement Friday, and confirmed the couple are both employed by the U of A, but are on leave.

* C7 }, [$ w9 ^7 b+ V9 mThe statement went on to say cases of employees being charged criminally are handled on a case by case basis:
