As you may have heard, a new federal carbon tax will be introduced in Alberta on January 1, 2020. The tax is part of the Canadian government's comprehensive climate action plan to help lower carbon emissions.1 S; H8 `+ f; b4 c, J" h2 [" t r, g! R

We wanted to let you know what to expect on your energy bills starting in January. The charges will apply to your consumption of natural gas at a rate of $1.0499523/GJ. You'll see a new line item under your gas distribution charges as soon as your bill starts to register January’s usage.
