Clarica was introduced in 1999 by Mutual life of Canada, and was acquired by Sun Life three years later.5 u @, `4 G, _+ \
There are almost two million Clarica policy- and accountholders in Canada, said Sun Life. Clarica also has a sales force of about 3,500.5 F9 b C# m: H0 l1 z
2 j# \" @8 x5 C8 }1 O# @The company said the changes will be completed by the first quarter of 2008. Sun Life will incur a $40-million to $50-million charge in the first quarter of 2007.5 q {) D# h$ B
