This position is an important role in the company where the successful candidate will lead the strategic sourcing of all required products and services.

The procurement officer is responsible for:
- d; g( c" H; d6 U-        Identifying and serving the needs of each business department
5 j% X) A+ J9 b7 I% g3 Q, i-        Sourcing and evaluating local, national or international suppliers
  {8 {. b5 B$ c-        Negotiating terms, conditions and contracts
-        Building and managing supplier relationships
-        Performing cost savings and profit margin analyses

/ \2 F; k5 L1 X/ s; cRequirements:
- Sound research skills
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Strong organization and time management skills
3 U; r+ Z7 a6 a% N; }: d; a- Friendly and outgoing personality
- Proficient use of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
3 \4 i& f2 n" K+ o( R3 F) q- Cycle counting and adjusting experience preferred  
- Experience with mechanical parts, welding materials, PPE and consumables for the construction industry is an asset
- Experience with Inventory control is an asset
