This position is an important role in the company where the successful candidate will lead the strategic sourcing of all required products and services.

The procurement officer is responsible for:
+ Z6 @  ]% \7 L-        Identifying and serving the needs of each business department
-        Sourcing and evaluating local, national or international suppliers
  Q$ p( H/ Z3 C6 J% a-        Negotiating terms, conditions and contracts
( N! G0 ?6 Y& U4 O  `/ v7 H-        Building and managing supplier relationships
( _5 l* C9 {2 w9 z( L-        Performing cost savings and profit margin analyses

Requirements:
; s- X4 z% q3 e" v* R  f- Sound research skills
! R2 O  ^, g3 K# ~3 _2 A- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Strong organization and time management skills
- Friendly and outgoing personality
& {1 ]& ?9 [+ r3 |- v/ T) {6 m- Proficient use of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
) `  k$ f  s* W$ r0 [- Cycle counting and adjusting experience preferred  
- Experience with mechanical parts, welding materials, PPE and consumables for the construction industry is an asset
- Experience with Inventory control is an asset
