EDMONTON -- Alberta's chief medical officer of health revealed who is eligible for the COVID-19 vaccine in the next phase of vaccinations as Phase 2A began on Monday.' G4 A$ A) `2 f& u; W
5 B# H( w0 V% {8 j9 R5 Y+ ~With Phase 2B slated to begin in April, Dr. Deena Hinshaw said Albertans with high-risk underlying health conditions would be able to get the COVID-19 shot.

Chronic heart, kidney, liver, neurological and respiratory diseases;

Diabetes that requires insulin or other medicines;
# W; f( z4 A$ U- D- l3 g8 u Immunosuppression;

Severe mental illness or substance abuse disorder that required hospitalization in the past year;% m6 e+ Y8 M& L# T4 e/ h
Severe obesity;

7 |3 L$ a; x4 }2 ]2 r Solid organ, bone marrow or stem cell transplant recipients.
